CardCash Store Information

CardCash is readily available on the site and can be obtained from another member.

Under no circumstances should any member ask for a loan or beg for CardCash either on the boards or by pm. If this happens, a warning will be given and if it happens again, a suspension will be given.

The SportsCardForum CardCash Store has been created to reward loyal members of SportsCardForum.com.

In addition to the user enhancing features that can be purchased in the store there will be a number of items that will be available to the SportsCardForum member base.


I will be putting valuable sports cards and sports card packs which will be available for purchase only with earned CardCash!

Each item will be listed with only a certain amount available and when they are gone, they're gone. So let the competition begin!

Don't worry, the store will be reloaded from time to time but your going to have to stay on your toes.

We hope you enjoy this feature of our forum and please feel free to suggest any items you would like to see in the store in the Suggestions forum.

As far as I know no you do not, in the past you did but because of the rampid amount of cc out there right now we are trying to limit giving out more cc.

There were also way too many people making second, third & fourth accounts to get the referral points & then just send them to their main account. It only took a few bad apples to ruin it for everyone.

i had this problem on my own site, but simple solution was to ban them :)

They were banned but I'm sure your site didn't have anywhere near the amount of members this one does. It's not like a red light goes off every time someone makes a second account, although I sure wish it did.

actually my site just reached the 7,000 member mark yesterday ;)

and we have constant watch over the Cash transaction log along with ip addresses with it... i took it upon myself to write a hack for it so that it will display a notification under the IP if it is being used by another username as well =)

Awesome....How do you get around aol accounts, since they are identical sometimes ??

it shows the host server name as well... like cache-los-aa01.proxy.aol.com

if 2 members make a transaction and both are from an AOL account (or similar), it flags it and once it happens 3 times between the same host it freezes both accounts automatically, until a determination of what is going on has happened...

Nice..a freeze, so it doesn't affect others who may be on the same server. whereas a ban might take out 5-6+ members

This may sound stupid, but what exactly does the bank do?

Originally, if you deposited cc into the bank it would give you an interest rate. Not sure what that rate was but pretty sure it no longer exists as the bank is essentially shut down even though the option is still there. It has eaten some people's cc, I've never had that problem but some have. My advice would be to avoid it as there is no real point for it right now.

Actually, I have over 1,350 cc's in the bank & I've been getting the interest every day like I'm supposed to. I've also been able to withdraw cc when I needed to without a problem. I'd say that the bank is working fine & it is not shut down from where I'm looking at it.

It's not disabled just not a feature that is really suggested I would say. I'm not sure if Greg ever found out what was wrong with it if anything. All I know is it works for some and for others it doesn't.

I post two threads a day, MLB and NBA GTS's. Although there are no NBA games tomorrow so there is only one posted for tomorrow.

When I signed up I got 50 cc and Im sure all new members did also... however one day I checked and I had 60. What could have caused me to get 10 cc... im pretty sure nobody donated.

Did you read the original post ? You no longer get cc for signing up. I know for sure that it was stopped way before you joined.

Their is no real exact exchange value. Basically, whatever you feel it is worth. I would check out the cc exchange forum to get an idea. I have generally seen 100cc go for $1 but seems as if the value has deflated the longer it has been around.

Yes, as long as it is a posted price and not an auction Style sale. The Buyer must know what they are purchasing(no grab bags are to be allowed on SCF)

There used to be a section of rules & guidelines that would show each person their own referral link when they were looking at it but I don't see it any longer. There is no card cash given for referrals any longer but you can still put a SCF link on your site if you'd like.

I have always wonder what was that card cash thing..and why some have toushands of it...and that i was always at zero...now i understand...it dosen`t work anymore...lol but i know a bit the system, on a forum i go there was a time where that system was use for the rpg thing, the points where use to purchase weapons , armors and things. Can be usefull, but im not sure about selling cards, after all somebody have to pay real money for the cards...

There is already an abundance of cardcash out there, and plus if people spam to get their post count up, it could become a problem.

SCF used to have it set up for 1 cc per post when the site first started out. People were making one word responses or just replying to every thread they could whether it made sense or not. Thank the people that took advantage of the system that ruined it for everybody now.

You can't click on the card name from the drop down screen, you need to click "Quick Action Menu". Once you do that, then the cards (with scans & prices) are in the "Cards & Supplies" section.

there are many contests that are run in which CC is given to winners....there is also a CC for cards forum in which you can sell your cards for card cash.

Since the new software and upgrade, the store has been removed. A new store is going to be built to replace it, it's just going to take a little take because the old format didn't work with the new setup.

Card Cash can be used to purchase cards and a few other items from the Card Cash Store (located in the Gallery). Before you could also purchase profile improvements with CC as well, but that feature is currently disabled.

From the website. Members donate cards to Turd Ferguson who then adds them to the CC Store. Members can then use their CC to purchase those cards.

And on a related note, since CC holds no monetary value, nobody makes any money on these transactions.
