Alot of problems I've found are the result of out dated software. I would highly recommend downloading the lastest version of flash: http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash

and ditching IE with FireFox:

Thanks!

Firefox > IE

Everyone still using IE needs to at least try out Firefox. I'll admit the first few days I found it hard to switch from IE to Firefox, simply because I was so used to IE.

Now, a little over a month later, I just can't understand how I used such a crappy browser for so long.

Since I use a dual-monitor system, I prefer to put Firefox on one monitor and the Opera browser on the other monitor. The best things I like about Firefox:

Firefox is free.
All of your favorites and other settings from IE are imported into Firefox upon installation.
Pop-up ads don't automatically appear on the screen.
Whenever I fill in a form (a box that asks for "User Name" or other data), Firefox remembers previous entries. So when a site asks for info like that, I just type the first letter/# and a box appears from which I can select a previous entry. This has saved me plenty of time when I look up bv's on Beckett.
Tabbed browsing--try it, you'll like it.
New, innovative skins are constantly coming out for customizing Firefox's look.
Firefox has a rep for being faster and more secure. Sure looks that way to me.

For those who are curious about the Opera browser, it's pretty cool too but its only free if you can live with a banner under the tool bar. Unfortunately, this gives the website that you're browsing, less screen real estate.

Nowadays, I only use IE to see how my webpages will look in it. I have to do that since the majority of web surfers still use IE. What's funny is that some people will stick to Internet Explorer no matter what. That's ok if you can live with its security risks and have faith that MIcrosoft will always spend time and money developing patches for IE. Heck, some people still use Windows '95 and that's their prerogative or because that's all they can get their hands on.

IE's rep has been getting worse and worse. The people at Microsoft aren't dummies, tho. I'm sure that some day they'll introduce a new revolutionary browser that will be competitive with Firefox. Until then, I'll go with Firefox.

Also with the addition of our score ticker on the right side bar, you'll need to download java if you don't already have it installed (most do).

Same here.

Another thing I love about Firefox is the many extentions available to download. I currently have: WeatherFox(sorta like weatherbug...minus all the spyware), FoxyTunes(lets me control my playlist from the status bar in the browser window), and the WebDeveloper extension.
