Hey gang-

Just wanted to let whoever may be interested that I am stepping down from staff. I don't have it in me to do it anymore, and if I can't give it 110% I don't want to do it at all. I still plan on being on the site though.

Anyone who I was working on trades gone bad with will be hearing from another staff member who will take over. Hopefully things will get ironed out on those.

I appreciate all the kind words I have heard from folks over the time I was a mod, I thank you for that. I think that may have been part of what kept me going the last month or so ;) I can tell you all from experience that the mods/advisors are the glue that holds this site together. They are all absolutely awesome!!

I will only be online sporadically starting sunday, we are in the middle of moving and will not have internet service until we get into our new place so I will be at the library some of the time.

Thanks again to all the people who made being a mod a pleasure :)

Rima-you are the best. Hate to see you go as mod, but I'm sure we'll still see you around and I'm sure you'll still help to keep this place going in the right direction. I'm sure nobody understands how much work it is being a mod, but from experience I can tell you I understand and I appreciate what you've done in the time that I've been here. We'll see ya around.

Awwww, Rima, say it ain't so!! :frown: You're the reason I began online trading one year ago you know...you showed me the ropes and showed me how generous SCF members can be. What can we do to make you reconsider? I hope your situation quickly evolves to the point where you don't have to "retire". I wish you good luck at your new residence. Please keep us informed of how things are going for you. You know, if SCF can be considered sportscard trading heaven, then Rima, you are one of the angels ---> :new_angel

Thanks guys, I appreciate your kind words :) I have too much going on here and some other personal stuff I need to get taken care of and I don't feel I can put 100% of my efforts in as a Mod right now. Maybe sometime later after all this stuff blows over I can come back, but for now it's really a weight lifted since I am a sort of a perfectionist when it comes to responsibilities and I just can't give it my all right now.

I will still be kickin' around here for a few days, then very sporadic until Feb sometime. TYVM for both ya'lls kind words, it does mean alot to me :)

Hey Rima, sad to see ya stepping down. I know I've talked to you several times (both as a mod and your pre-mod days) and you've always been a big help. Good luck with your move, hope it goes smoothly for ya!

I hope a short "vacation" from the "mod squad" will help to make this hobby more enjoyable for you.

Sad to see it come that Rima, but you really did do excellent work as a mod, and I know will continue to do amazing work as a regular member. I always enjoy reading your thoughtful posts and answers to people's questions and comments. Your words show exactly how much you care about others and this site in general.

*sniff sniff* Makes me want to cry....darn you Rima...oh well, I still ove you. You and Sherry will always be my favorite people in the hobby. Can't say I've been able to chit chat in person with many traders, let alone a MOD!!!! You know how I get along with Mods on other sites. We are like a square shape getting pounded in the triangle hole. We just don't mesh. LOL. Kinda crazy, you step down as a mod, I step down from collecting. All in the same week. Must be the Indiana weather??? Take care.
