Well, I really don't know where to start...

For those of you who might not know and for those of you who do know, I was on this site since it went live 03-03-03. I joined the site that evening after Bryan (BGray) spammed SCF on the eTopps forums :

http://forums.etopps.com/etoppsForum/topic.asp?ARCHIVE=true&TOPIC_ID=24445

I guess not all spam is bad. It was odd for me at the time to see a member with so many posts that I had not known. I saw the link and decided to click it simply for giggles and I liked what I saw. I signed up and my user id # ended up being 16 which made me one of the very first members on the site. Bryan of course was the first user.

#2-9 were test accounts
#10 made 2 posts on the site
#11 made only 1 post ever
#12 is Brad (radioheadfloyd for those of you who know him)
#13 was etoppscardguy who was active for a week or so
#14 was only around for a day and made 20 posts
#15 made only 3 posts
#16 - Iggy!

I remember being on here that first day. It was pretty exciting and even though we only had a couple members, we had a lot of rapid fire discussions going on. I believe I made 150 in the matter of a couple hours or so. I had some good discussions with Bryan at the time too and offered some suggestions I had for his site. I also mentioned to him that if he was looking for any mods that I would be up for it.

The next day I was the very first mod on the site with 3 other people, Brad (radioheadfloyd), Jeff (j.e.lew) and cardcollector869 (I can't remember his name because he just disappeared a week later).

I was here when SCF was only intended to be a discussion site... few of you probably actually knew that. It was only supposed to be a site to discuss sportscards but from demand, it was expanded into a trading site.

Bryan and I over time and many discussions in our mod forum grew a great what you would call a "working relationship" but it was more than that. I consider Bryan, even though I've never met him personally, a great friend and would do anything for him.

I spent countless hours on SCF... way more than what was good for me.I enjoyed the hobby though and it felt good to give back to a hobby that had treated me so well and gave me so much enjoyment when I was just a little youngin.

It wasn't easy moderating SCF. While its rapid growth was a great thing overall for the site, it meant all of us had to put even more time in, whether it be cleaning up posts, moderating trades or keeping the crooks off of SCF. Some things over time slipped through the cracks but I don't think it's possible that ANYONE could have done any better than what all of us did. Some of you think what we do is cake... trust me when I say it's not. Because all the work and effort that myself and the other mods had to do on a daily basis, we grew together as a family. We might be a slightly dysfunctional family, but I love them all... Bryan, Brad, Jeff, John, Peter, Phil, Rich, Rima, Robert, Ryan and Tony.

This site really got me back into collecting cards. When the site first started, I was strictly into eTopps. Over time though I sold off all my eTopps cards and got back into collecting. I thought I built up myself a pretty nice collection in the limited time and budget I had to work with. I was hit with some hard financial times though and had to sell off my cards to pay bills though.

I've been out of the hobby now for about 6 or so months. Even though I tried, I just couldn't leave SCF and was still putting in the daily work. Well, sadly my heart just isn't in it like it was in the past so I believe it's time for me to move on. I still love the site and hope it continues to grow. I think it's time though for me to tell SCF that I love it, give it a hug and wish it good luck.

To all the members, it's been a pleasure. We might not have talked to each other in threads, but I feel like I know you all personally. I've probably read every single post ever posted on SCF so I was there for it all. Good luck with your future collecting, your future online trading and your future endeavors in life.

If any of you ever need to get ahold of me, my contact information probably will never change :

Awww man--not another one...see what you started Rima! lol, j/k. Iggy, so sorry to see you go. Believe me, your efforts to give SCF a reputation as a place for honest traders did not go unnoticed. I, for one, do appreciate your work. Good luck to you.

I can't say anything here Ig that you don't already know. It was a pleasure and a fun ride. Everyone that enjoys SCF owes a good amount gratitude to you because it wouldn't be the same if you weren't involved.

Thanks so much bud!

Iggy, I'm very sorry to hear that you are leaving. We've talked quite a few times & you were always more than helpful in whatever I needed help with. You are part of the glue that held this site together and you will be missed. Take care & be sure to stop by & post if you happen to run into Mark Cuban again.

Iggy, I must say the site will definitely not be the same without you. I can only imagine how much work you, Bryan, and the other original mods put in to get this site launched to where it is today. The SCF community will miss your contributions both behind the scenes and as a member to all of us. Always enjoyed your drunken Pitt posts ;) Take care Igg.

man Im sorry to see you go, its always good to have great modirators on any forumn that you use regularly. I have done a lot of work on different forumn and can tell you moderating is not an easy job. For popular sites it can take 2 to 3 hours a day just to read through all the posts. Your work for scf is greatly appreciated and you will be dearly missed. I am quite new to scf but this site single handedly brought me back into the hobby and part of that was because of the work you did. I will 3rd the intro into the scf hof.

I hope you'll come back some day. I believe that card collecting is like a cocain addiction. You can leave for a while but you always have the urdge to get back in. It just doesnt leave you alone. (or maybe im just a fanatic)

anyways hope full fun furfilled life and hope that you know that everyone on this site from those that have 8000 posts to those that have 8 posts will truly miss you.

I know I'm late in saying this but I too have not been around SCF as much as I used to because I've put my collecting on hold for awhile.

I've kind of been that guy who's flown under the radar here since I joined anyways.

It's very sad to see you go Iggy, you are one of the people who truly helped make this site what it is today and I hope that life is good to you no matter what your doing outside of SCF.
