To Florida-Vaclav Nedorost and Eric Messier
To Colorado-Peter Worrell and a 2nd round pick
Good move 4 both teams.

That just solidifies my theory that the Avs are going to be tough to beat this season.

I was gonna say... the Avs were getting a little weak. Worrell should be a good addition to toughen up things in Colorado.

i dont think that was a good trade for colorado and heres why:
they dont need another tough guy especially worrell who has limited talent in the nhl,
they traded away Nedorost who is going to be something special with some more coaching, and messier is a solid player

I don't think Nederost woulda done anything in Colorado. In Florida he has a chance to prove himself as he won't have any superstars to cover for him. Messier is a great shot blocker and I think will help Florida's penalty kill. The 2nd round draft pick Colorado gets will probably be a pretty early one cuz I don't see Florida making the playoffs this year and will finish in the bottom 8. So they can probably replace Nederost. And with Worrell they get an improvement over Parker.

nedorost would have always been in the shadow of a superstar and with a coach like mike keenan, he can develop on a team with no stars.

i think this trade is good for both teams since the panthers get youth and a utility player, while the avalanche filled a hole since they dealt their only tough guy away, scott parker
i would have to give the advantage to florida tho
