Northeast Division
1.Senators- toughness isnt a knock on them anymore as they beat the flyers and forced a game 7 against the devils
2.Maple Leafs- to many penalties hurt them last year and will hurt them this year
3.Bruins- joe thornton will be dominant again but goaltending is questionable
4.Canadiens- theodore rebounding could have the canadiens in the playoffs again
5.Sabres- only thoughts on hockey(bankruptcy) wont be enough as the sabres are falling, but picking up youth could have them in the hunt in 2004-2005 (briere, delmore)

Ottawa-Always having trouble in the playoffs against teams who'd think they could beat. I don't think we''l see as good a season as last year but another trip to the conference finals isn't too far feched.
Toronto-I still think they will get at least 1 more defenseman by trade or signing. I didn't want them to sign Marchment cuz of his reputation but he's still an upgrade over some of the other guys they had in there last season. The highest they will finish is 4-5 in the conference and will have another tough first round battle.
Boston-They can't seem to get out of the first round anymore. They are still a pretty young team too. I like Shields but they definitley need a guy like Cujo. Penny pinching will probably hurt them again.
Montreal-Theodore is basically the key to the season again. I don't think any team in the league rely's on there goalie more than Montreal. If they do somehow make the playoffs I think they will be an easy opponent for whoever they play unless Theo does what he did 2 years ago again and steal the series.
Buffalo-I think they will trade away one of their goalie's for a little D. Drury will probably be back to normal now that he's out of Calgary. I really like Kalinin too hopefully for them he's not a 1 year wonder.

ottawa agree but they still will be good
toronto- disagree- getting marchment means more pnalties and more losses
boston- cujo is the most overrated goalie in the league but they do need a better goalie to advance
montreal- agree
buffalo- agree- kalinen isnt a one year wonder
