1.Stars- losing hatcher will hurt which means a more exciting race for the pacific division crown
2.Mighty Ducks- last year's heroics werent a fluke, but the ducks and giguere's hype may hurt them come next year, although they have the right coach to handle this situation
3.Sharks- last year will prove to be a bad year, although they say they are rebulding, they will rebound- marleau will flourish with the spotlight on him to run the offense without nolan and selanne
4.Coyotes- langkow had a breakthrough season and will have to do it again, especially if the coyotes trade sean burke
5.Kings- they had injuries but this team is in trouble without potvin(they prolly were in trouble with him too)

Dallas-This team is still a serious contender don't let that Mighty Duck fiasco fool you. Steve Ott is a player that I think will make a big impact.

San Jose-I agree the sharks just had a bad year. McCauley is gonna be alot more productive than he was in Toronto and they will be in the playoffs again.

Anahiem- I don't think they'll be as succesful as last year but will still do some damage in the playoffs

Phoenix-I don't see them making the playoff unless Gretzky is planning on joining the team. I hope they don't trade Burke cuz he steals so many games for this team.

L.A- I think Checkmanek will enjoy having less pressure in LA. They'll be in the playoffs if they stay healthy.

i agree that the stars are still a contender and ott will be a player for them

the sharks did just have a bad year and should rebound

the mighty ducks are for real but wont have as much success as they did in the playoffs

o, i forgot

the coyotes wont make the playoffs even with gretzky in the lineup and cechmanek will do better with less pressure (very hard considering his regular season success) but the kings arent as good as the fly boys
