The Mariner's / A's games to begin the Season in Japan have been canceled and changed to two A's home games, because of the War with Iraq. As a M's fan why can't the games be one home game for each team, because Japan would have been more of a home stadium for the Mariners. Here is the article:

They probably don't split it because of travel time. It's easier to just have 2 games in one stadium.

I'm guessing security will be as tight or even tighter than last year at baseball games. I wonder what other measures MLB will be doing regarding the war.

This war shouldnt last a long time anyway. Hussein has to make so much trouble, they should just disarm before we force them to. Its the common sense move. Dignity isnt going to solve their problems now. The Mariners still have a great chance of beating Oakland if they are away.
