BAM1984's TTM Success Thread

Hey everybody,
After talking with a few collectors on SCF, I am attempting to try again to start a TTM collection. In the past year or two, I have sent out about 10-15 requests for TTM autos and have received a few of them back which got me alittle bummed about doing this. So, I have decided to take another whack at it to see if it is something I can get back into.

Past TTM Successes:
Matt Williams (1988 Topps RC) (DBacks PC Item)
Jack Clark (1988 Topps BIG)
Charlie Daniels (signed 8x10 through email request)
Chef Gordon Ramsay (signed 8x10 through email request)
Ken Rudolph (1973 Topps) (Only took 2 weeks; signed in blue sharpie)
Stan Musial (2006 Topps Turkey Red Red Parallel) (8 weeks later and returned card w/signed postcard!!!)

Sent out on 16 August 2010
David Justice (1992 Donruss and Fleer)
Ernie Banks (2010 Topps CYMTO Original Back)


I will post more names as I sort through cards to find other individuals to send to.

You were able to get Gordon Ramsay through email? What's the email?

I will have to find it again. That was a success from early 2009

FYI- 3 of the 4 you are planning on sending are horrible TTM signers (Justice, Musial and Banks). Why don't you try some more reliable signers and I bet you have a better time with it!

Try Bobby Doerr, Duke Snider (I think he is signing for free again), or on the celeb side Martin Sheen or Shia LeBouf

Just do some research there are other great signers out there! Check the TTMM or even look around the web, some of these stars have websites that say where to send autograph requests to...

Also LMK if you need help on the celebrity aspect, many stars not known to sign, sign great if you know what you are doing!

Well,
It has been about 8 weeks and talking with the wifey today, one of the TTMs have come back!! Unfortunately, I cannot scan it; being deployed and all...

It was the TTM that I was really hoping for since he is getting up there in age....

He didnt sign the 06 Topps Turkey Red Red Parallel that I sent but to get the post card that he does sign, is even better! Oh, and he returned my sent card
