I am happy with one of my favorites from the days he was in NY. Keyshawn Johnson has just took a salary cut to save the Bucs over $2.5 million. It may be chump change for him but I still think it was a very respectable thing to do for a Person who wants to WINNNNN!!! I wish more athletes would do this, it shows their real passion for the game and winning!!!

I'm a little surprised to hear this. Sounds like Keyshawn is growing up.

One of my favorite teams in all sports is the San Antonio Spurs as they have a whole team of really stand up guys.

I don't think Keyshawn is really growing up, I just think he realizes he's on a Super Bowl team with a guy that's going to get him the ball a lot and wouldn't get even his current salary after the cut on todays market.

Gotta give him some credit though most people would not take a pay cut like that to help the team.

Keyshawn is just trying to make himself look good. I think he is very overrated. JMO

I think he's overrated, too. There are many better WRs than him.

I totally agree with Iggy. Heck, right now, Jerry Rice still puts up better numbers in his last few seasons that Keyshawn.

A few Ottawa Senators players did that this year as well, to free up some change for the team to spend before the draft deadline to bring in some players to make a cup run. I think there were 4-5 players that gave up a couple hundred thousand each off this years salary.
