View Full Version : Favorite Card in Your Collection? pwaldo 03-20-2003, 01:33 PM What's your favorite card in your collection? Mine is my 1985 Topps McGwire rookie card. I collected McGwire before his stuff took off in the late 1990s and I was very lucky to get this for dirt cheap. I had it autographed in person from Rickey. The first card I got was a Rod Woodson Select Certified '95 card when I was younger from my dad. The card design was nice and all shiny and I thought it was really something special. I had his jersey back then and I still have it. Its the coolest picture on the front of a card ive ever seen. I also bought them in Canada and paid in US funds years ago when the US dollar was very strong, so the seller ended up with about $1400 Canadian. biggiocollector 03-17-2005, 12:01 AM I have two that are really close. He is definitely one of the nicest most down t earth guys I ever met. 2nd is my 88 score r/t glossy Biggio rc just because it took me sl long to find one I could afford to by or trade for!!!! When I was a kid I was always enamored by the 84 Donruss Mattingly, or any Mattingly rookies for that matter. I bought a topps last year for sentimental reasons. Theyre rather inexpensive these days but I thought it was so cool to finally have one. |
