Alright Hockey fans,

I love sportscards and sports in general but I will admit that I keep up with hockey less than any other sport. Sorry, I live in Texas.

I've been out of the loop for about 2 years now.

Anyone want to fill me in on the young stars and rookie cards to get if I decide to jump back in?

Also, who was that rookie goalie last year that's supposed to be so good? Is he gonna be there for the long haul.

Dan Blackbburn on the New York Rangers is under the tutelage of John Davidson, hes shows glimpses of his great talent occasionally but playing with the Rangers poor D does him no justice. I would look into this guy he has some talent and he is sooo young!

Even though I refuse to watch another Penguins game again as long as Mario Lemieux's the owner, I always liked the moose... Johan Hedberg

Golies are coming and going to fast these days. Anyone remember DiPetrio, Isle finally called him back. He was supposed to be their saviour.

How about Tomas Vokoun of Nashville. He's helped put Nashville into playoff contention. He's also played 39 of the last 40 games since they traded Dunham.

first of all Iggy, what do you have against mario?

second of all j.e. lew, give DiPietro some time. he has played pretty well in the games he has played in as of late.

third of all, if you are collecting young players' cards, you can't go wrong with MARIAN GABORIK, ilya kovalchuk, dany heatley, mike comrie, and roberto luongo

while i live in pittsburgh, and they are my favorite team, i would not say that these guys are young stars. guillaume lefebvre will more than likely be a career 3rd liner (maybe 4th). tomas surovy has some potential to be a good pure goal scorer but he needs to work on his all around game if he wants to be considered a young star. **** tarnstrom was having such a great season because the pens powerplay was doing so well. plus **** tarnstrom isnt even that young (he is 27 or 28.....dont get me worng i like **** tarnstrom...he just isnt a young star). and sebastien caron has a lot of work to do if he wants to be a good starting goalie. he goes down way too early and often.

i do agree with you on ramzi abid. i was glad to see the pens get rid of hrdina for him.

How is Chechoo doing? I don't follow hockey much, but remember his name and having a few cards of his.
