Just saw Bad News Bears this past week, absolutely hilarious.

If you like Billy Bob Thornton's typical character then you need to see it.

Deuce Bigalo European Gigalo has got to be one of the worst movies I have ever seen. I saw it last week, and I barely laughed at all. I mean, some of the scenes were corny humor, but most of it was just stupid.

Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy. I never read the book so my opinion might be off but I found that this was one of the worst movies I have ever watched. I almost fell asleep during it.

Doom and Saw ll

Doom was better than I thought it would be, and just like the first, Saw ll kicked butt. Throws you WAY off at the end, which is always cool. Saw and Saw ll have finally brought back what a true horror movie is supposed to be IMO.

Saw Elizabethtown w/ my gf. I didn't really like it. Neither did she. So I guess that's two thumbs down.

Also saw Doom last weekend. Ok movie.

Land of the Dead was Awesome. I love zombie movies, and not the cheesy ones where the zombies talk, that's just ridiculous, but good ones, like Dawn of the Dead and Land of the Dead, etc.

BTW I saw Bewitched and House of Wax today. Bewitched sucked, definantly one of Will Ferrell's worst, if not his worst.

House of Wax was pretty cool, kinda drawn out, but still pretty cool.

Just watched the new Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, overall, didnt think it was very good. Kinda hard to follow, good acting and visuals as usual. Storyline was kinda bad, and directing was poor. Still worth the money I paid to see it. Overall Id give it a C.

Watched 40-Yr. Old ****** and Bad News Bears today. Both freakin' hilarious.

Watched "Downfall" (Der Untergang) today. Great WW2 movie. Is in German, but does have English subtitles.

Chronlices of Narnia: the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. I havent read the novel, thought this movie would at first be very very good (trailer), watched the first 30 mins or so, thought it was horrible for a little bit.. but oh my, by the end of the movie, i had labelled it AWESOME! and it is.. very good!!! 8.5/10

Usual Suspects: not a fan of renting new movies, i love the old dramas esp. crime movies.. if u havent seen it, its very good. Suspenseful, smart, and ...dramatic? lol. Kevin Spacey is great!

I watch The Transporter 2. It was pretty good. Lots of action. Some parts were a little hoeky but otherwise a good movie.

Lord of War - Nicholas Cage! Very Very Good. Powerful, political, and great acting from Nicholas Cage! must see.

Boondock Saints - Amazing movie! Cult Classic and great if u liked Snatch or Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barells.

Watched "Underworld Evolution" yesterday. Awesome movie, lots of action.

Ong Bak: Thai Warrior

Great movie, especially if you like martial arts flicks. The star of the film is really good. Kinda like Jackie Chan's acrobatics but with a different fighting style. His fighting style is Muay Thai, which is mostly fighting with your elbows, forearms, knees and shins. What I like the most is how he would set someone up with dummy move to get them to react and then he would throw another elbow or knee a split second later and catch 'em as they react. Really good movie, if you like Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, Jet Lei films you gotta see this one.

went to see saw 3 last monday....i liked it alot....i took my pops (my girlfriend wanted nothing to do with it) and he didn't like it as much as the first 2, but i thought it was every bit as good....maybe not as much of a thinker, but just as much gore/horror....i recommend it!!

We Were Soldiers-great movie...liked the true story element and the action was awesome

Last Samurai-like this one a lot, good story but the solemn aspect keeps you from watching over and over

Gladiator-absolutely great, good plot, good acting job, not to mention awesome fight scenes plus i love historical fiction (ie last two)

Batman Begins- can watch this one all the time...BEST super hero mivie EVER

We Were Marshall- just falls short of Remember the Titans and Hoosiers...i liked the fact that at the very end they say that marshall had the worst record in the 70's...not a hollywood victory story but actually a deeper plot with sports almost in the background

Green Street Hooligans - It's a movie about a guy (Elijah Wood) who gets set up and kicked out of Harvard and moves to England. Gets involved with a guy and his "firm" of football (soccer) hooligans. I saw the Number 23 saturday night, and I saw the Zodiac last night.

i saw borat and lets go to prison. borat was horriblly disappointing and lets go to prison wasnt much better.

The Number 23 was decent, REALLY trippy though. You really gotta follow it. I thought it was good, nice story line throughout. Only 1 hour and 37 minutes long though. And, I don't like Jim Carrey in a serious role. Too used to his antics. Zodiac was pretty decent. 2 HOURS AND 40 MINUTES LONG! Yeah, it drags on. However, strikingly similar to the one that came out last year...

Yea the last movie I saw in theatres was The Number 23. I thought it was really good. I though Jim Carrey also did very well in that role. He did have a couple funny parts, but he wasn't bad. The movie had a very good plot, and the I thought the movie was awesome. The next movie I wanna see is 300. Man that movie looks so sick!!! I have been wanting to see that movie for over a half a year. The filmography in the movie looks incredible. Another movie I wanna see is The Hills Have Eyes 2. ALot of people probably didn't like the 1st movie, but I enjoyed it, and I thought it was really crazy.

it was a myth but a heck of a movie...

"Myth" is the key word. Movie advertises the 300 Spartans to be against 1 million Persians. What a lie. No one knows how many for sure but it definitely wasn't anywhere near one million soldiers. That's why I won't spend any money to see the movie. I'll wait for dvd in a few months to watch it.

Besides, if I want slow motion I'll watch a John Woo film. If I want gore and the clinging of swords I'll pop in Braveheart or Gladiator. :)

If you guys want to know a little more about the battle, etc, check the History Channel sometime. In the last 3 day's there's been a continuous running of "The Last Stand of the 300" which is a 2 hour episode of historians laying out everything that is said to have happened. REALLY REALLY good program.

The Night Listener- starring Robin Williams-- not a bad movie

Saw111- I loved it! I was expecting the same gruesome gore(and there was), but the storyline was suspenseful. I hear Saw4 will be in the theatres in Oct, and I also hear that Saw5 is a lock to be made.

Casino Royale-very good! Could have cut a few scenes out to make the movie flow better.

The Illusionist-I had no idea what this movie was about before I borrowed it from a friend but I enjoyed it.

Ninja Turtles - The animation is very cool but the few action scenes weren't exactly memorable. Still not bad though if you're a Ninja Turtle fan. I grew up addicted to it so I liked the movie but again nothing great.

Watched two movies today. Rocky Balboa and Blood Diamond. Blood Diamond was a great film and Rocky was enjoyable. Direction of both films were superb.

I just purchased Rocky Balboa great flick. It was a double pack and came with Ali. I also seen you liked Babel. I thought it was horrible and why exactly are the Chinese or Japanese people in it other than the gun I dont see why the teenage girl was in it at all. Very confusing and boring. I also bought the Will Smith movie Pursuit of Happyness. It came in a double pack with Jerry Maguire. Very great movie. I love to buy movies. I just purchased the Revenge of the Nerds Box set.

The Good Shepherd on dvd. I actually went to see this in the movie theater and it was amazing!! It's still amazing on dvd. Its weird seeing Joe Pesci so old, though.

Pathfinder. It was good but they could have elaborated more on the Indian tribes. Good example of viking behavior at the time though.

Having more villains doesn't make a movie better. In fact, that means less screen time and less character development. No offense but your comment sounds like something a teenager would say. I'm not going to discuss the movie because I do not want to provide spoilers for those who haven't seen it.

Btw, I use to think Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace was the best Stars Wars when it came out. I was 16. Didn't take me long to realize that it was the worst.

Hey Ash, don't give him any ideas about being a teenager. Even though Dodgersalltheway was born in 1992 and we celebrated his birthday a couple of months ago, I still remind him that he's only 12 (actually his 4th year of being 12). I remind him and his sister (5th year at 12 years old) because I don't raise teenagers--I make them skip the teen years. And its actually worked so far. I love being around them, they're in a good mood most of the time, and they're very cooperative--just like when I made them skip the Terrible Two's. :)

I'm actually pretty sure that Spidey 3 was one of the worst movies I have ever seen.. Apart from the maybe 5 mintues of worthwhile action scenes, the movie made no sense.

Mary Jane freaks out for no reason? The black suit gives Peter magical jazz piano and dancing powers? The same type of grenade that blew off half the face of the giant sandman and kills venom only gave Harry slight scarring?

BTW, the dancing scene was ridiculous. Almost as bad as the Bat-u-si... Only people of 30 yrs or older will even know what the hell that is.

Anyway, I fell asleep through most of the movie. With Superman and Batman making huge comebacks in recent years I am disappointed that Spidey & Co. dumped this log of undigested garbage on us.

Just got back from Spiderman 3 and I must say that I was disappointed. Much like haybierman, much of the movie didn't make much sense to me.

The whole jazz dancing scene with Peter? I lost that 15 minutes of my life and will never get it back. I regret that..

When Harry dies at the end, I mean, come on Peter, even I could have acted like crying better than that. That was just terrible. His acting has slowly degressed, much like Anakin's did in the Star Wars flicks.

We can only hope there isn't a Spidey 4 where Mary Jane and Spidey have a Superhero offspring that's as pale as a ghost (the girl needs to tan) and craps spider webs.

I agree with that list except for George Lazenby. Been a long while since I've seen the one Bond film he made so I couldn't rate him. I'm watching the Bond films on the newer dvd releases.

I put Lazenby there because, like you, I feel that Dalton was a waste as Bond and Craig has been introduced as a Bond to the new generation and the verdict is still out on him. I don't feel he has done the role of Bond justice yet...

Both were good films. Based on true events on 9/11. I liked WTC with Nicolas Cage more than United 93.

WTC, was a good movie. It made me PO, sort of like Pearl Harbor. Both of those things still upset me because of what they did to our Country. Yes, I am slightly Patriotic.

It was good...certainly not the best of the three. Action was pretty cool but they seemed to try too hard to make it funny. Lots of plot twists and switching of sides can get confusing too.

And just got back from seeing Live Free or Die Hard. It was a bit too comedic (some witty humor) at times but I enjoyed the flick. I still like the first three films more.

Next at the Theater and Ghost Rider at the house starring Nicolas Cage in both.

Okay let's talk about Next, brillant concept but at times it was strained. I did like it though.

Ghost Rider; barely able to watch the whole thing. The story is completely different from the comic. The wife on the other hand liked it.

I just got home from the premiere of Transformers the Movie. And WOW!! Michael Bay hit a homerun here. Amazing special effects and awesome action. And for you car lovers, there are some bad hot rods in this movie as well. Story was really good, not completely the correct origin, but very close. I totally recommend this flic! The door was left wide open for part two. Even if you don't like Transformers, it is still an excellent movie. The theater was cheering more than once and got a big ovation at the end. Numerious shots of humor thrown in as well. As for action I give it a 10.

Well I believe we have a new king of the mountain. Out of this world graffix and effects. As for action...there will not be a movie this year to even get close enough to sniff let alone rival Transformers. Don't go into this movie expecting to see Gone with the Wind. If you want to have a good time at the movies here is your ticket. Megan Fox was great and talk about some eye candy. Shia Labeouf has just broken out and will be a name more people know of from now on. Go see this movie. Check it out!!

I am. Really hyped up for the movie. Turns out I own most of Bay's films on dvd already. Watched them all in prep for Transformers.

Well it will have to impress me action wise since I seen Live Free or Die Hard over the weekend and it is the best action movie I have seen in along time. Also had its moments that made you laugh.

Just watched Live Free or Die Hard. Best action flick I have seen in a while. Bruce, he's still got it. Most of the stunts were insane but yet still totally believeable. I'm just glad that they stuck by the franchise and made another die hard film worthy of it.

A great action movie. The CGI in this movie is probably the best of any movie out there. Lots of comedy early in the movie too. My only gripe about the movie is a few of the action scenes...too many humans involved (not enough dying lol) and some of the robot fights were brief.

Blood of My Brother-

Documentary about a family living in Iraq after a family member is killed by an American patrol. Documents their feelings and struggles after their tragic loss. Also shows footage of American soldiers in a late night raid and some vehicles in combat. Documentary also covers the lives of other Iraqis that are impacted by the war.

Transformers!!! By far, the best movie this year. Maybe even this decade!!!!

Pan's Labyrinth

A very good film. Its an adult fairy tale played out during a war with the main character being a young girl. But there is plenty of violence in the plot. You get a mix of reality and fantasy. Keep in mind the movie is in Spanish and will have English subtitles.

Watched Flags of our Fathers and Letters from Iwo Jima back to back. Talk about very compelling to see the point of view from both sides of the same battle. That's why I like Tora, Tora, Tora a lot because it gives the Japanese side of the events that led to Pearl Harbor.

I think that movie is insane/awesome. Crazy movie with some sadistic moments. I have yet to see # but I want to. I realize it won't be as good, but I need to see it.

Also just saw the movie Battle Royale. Japanese movie that came out in 2000. Another crazy movie but an awesome plot.

Short synopsis: The Government in Japan is going downhill, the nation has collapsed, and with 800,000 students boycotting schools, the Government decides to change some things. The Government takes 1 class (41 students) to a deserted island and give them some simple rules. Kill your classmates. The only way they can get off the island is to be the last one alive.

Awesome movie, but unless if you cant stand subtitles this one is not for you.

Daredevil: Director's Cut

This version is about 30 minutes longer than the theatrical cut/original dvd. Fight scenes are extended very little but the story is much better and free flowing in the Director's Cut. I enjoyed the film much more than the theatrical version.

Transformers - I liked it but it wasn't as great as I had built up in my mind. I like the fact that they left it open to a sequel though.

My Super Ex Girlfriend - Funny. I still don't find Uma Thurman attractive at all so I am always at a loss when she plays some supposed "hot girl" in a movie.

The Chronicles of Riddick - WOW. Horrible. Who knew a sequel could ruin the 1st edition but I now hate Pitch Black too. No, that a lie. Pitch Black is awesome.

Deep Rising - Seriously? Poor Treat Williams will take ANY offer apparently.

The Hills Have Eyes #2 - I went into this thinking it was going to be corny and overly dependent on gore but I was pleasantly surprised and really liked it.

Road Trip - It was on TV. Holy cow I forgot how funny that movie was.

Without a Paddle - Dumb

Rocky III - Nothing comes close to Rocky IV and Ivan Drago.

Van Helsing - Watching right now... Not as bad as I thought it could be....

I watched Michael Moore's Sicko over the weekend. I know some of you probably refuse to consider anything of Moore's (especially if you're conservative), but you should definitely watch this movie. It's eye-opening. It's not a bash-Bush or bash-Republican movie either, he's blaming people of all parties. The health industry in this country has seriously gone to the dogs. There's so many examples in the movie that I could say on here, but I think you guys should go see it yourselves. The comparions to Canada, Britain and France are startling. I was very skeptical about living in America for my whole life before seeing this film, and now I am definitely considering not remaining a citizen.

Very good movie about the American Pilots (WWI) who flew for the French while America was trying to get itself out of the Isolationism it was mired in. It was partly true and truly enjoyable. I recommend it.

but I just saw for about the 10th time 28 DAYS LATER and that movie is absolutly AMAZING. I highly recommened it.

Aside from the film beng prejudice against Persians and the demonizing of the Persians...I thought this was a great action film. The battles scenes were a spectacle to watch. I just hope that people don't believe the movie is historicaly accurate.

We've had Blockbuster Total Access for a couple of months, not sure how many movie's we've watched exactly but I'll list what I can remember.

Running With Scissors - interesting but not what I expected, wouldn't go out of my way to watch it again

Idiocracy - I like Mike Judge but didn't know what to expect, my friend overhyped it... it wasn't bad, probably need to see it again.

Romeo + Juliet - The Baz Luhrmann version, pretty good but again probably wouldn't go out of my way to watch it again. I do love Claire Danes though.

Halloween, the new one.

I thought the movie was pretty terrible. Bad acting, half of it was boring as heck, and to top it all of my friend and I were almost the only ones there. Not great.

Some things were scary, but they were just pop up things where a big sound would play unexpectedly. Plus, Myers was too invincible in the movie. He keeps going after getting shot during multiple times in the movie.

Mr.Woodcock, funny... not hilarious, seems they try too hard to make jokes sometimes but there were a few times I laughed, packed theatre of talking idiots didnt help the experience though.

The Unnamable - Classic cheesy 80's horror movie that I had to rewatch only because Fearnet is offering it in HD. The special effects/makeup were hilariously awful.

Snakes on a Plane - Possibly one of the most ridiculously preposterous movies I have ever seen.

The Hills Have Eyes (the new one) - It was OK. I actually thought Part 2 was better. I was kind of disappointed to find the guy that played Frank Nitti in the Untouchables was a cannibal monster in this one.

Transformers. I originally took my three year old son to the movies. He was itching to go. He didn't make it through the whole thing -- maybe an hour and a half. When we rented it, he was glued to it when he wasn't playing with his transformers. Good movie.

Just saw Mr. Brooks on DVD. Excellent movie! It's a psychological thriller, and that's my favorite genre. It was really interesting and put a different perspective on the mind of a serial killer.

Kind of mixed on it. Acting and dialogue wasn't very good. I did enjoy the numerous action scenes even though they seemed a bit slow at times. I'd give the film a 6.5/10.

That's why I'm fearful of the new Indiana Jones movie. Harrison Ford was wonderful in the trilogy, not sure how he will carry over after this time span between The Last Crusade and now.

LW5 would have worked soon after LW4 because of the introduction of Chris Rock's character, Det. Butters. But at the same time, they kind of closed the doors with Riggs moving on from his deceased wife's memory and the birth of his child at the end.

I'm confident the new Indy will be a very good movie. Maybe not the best of the series, but I'm sure Spielberg and Lucas will do a great job. Ford is definitely a lot older, but they might be passing the torch to Shia Labeouf.

As for LW you are right...they are old men now. It worked for Bruce Willis in Live Free or Die Hard though!

I just watched Live Free or Die Hard. Very unrealistic, but you can't beat a Die Hard movie!I totally agree. Many movies ask moviegoers to suspend logic/reality to an extent and this one is no different. But my kids and I still enjoyed it when we saw it during the summer. Great stuff!

I just saw I Am Legend last night too... I loved it. It was actually a little more freightening and a few parts were sadder then I thought they would be. But definetly when a movie makes you jump and can't wait to see what's happens next it's great. The ending was a little lame, that's the only part making me not give it a 10/10. But definetly deserving as a 9/10.

I went and saw that National Treasures 2...It is worth the ticket thats for sure. They are alot more in depth in the clues and such in this one so its a must see in my book.

Oh I knew it was going to be horrible, I got a group of 10 friends or so to see it just because I knew it was going to be bad. Sometimes I enjoy seeing bad movies, but this was beyond what I could stand. When "that's not my ringtone" is supposed to be a scary line that puts you on the edge of your seat it's pretty terrible. I always get enjoyment out of the PG-13 "Horror" movies like One Missed Call, because they're never scary and I can't stand gore movies.

Cloverfield looks similar in the fact it's PG-13 and supposed to be semi-scary, can't wait to see that tommorow, but I think it will make more sense and have some better thought out scary scenes in it.

Just got back from the midnight showing of Cloverfield, and I LOVED it.

Its definitely not a movie for everyone, but considering that I have been dying for this movie to come out for the past 6 months, it gets two thumbs up from me.

I don't want to spoil anything for anyone, but here is a suggestion:

Pay very close attention to the last scene in the movie. And also make sure to stay in the theater until the credits have finished rolling.

Easily the best movie I have seen in years, but it could be the fanboy in me talking.

Hatchet - kinda disappointing, little too much comedy in it for me....the actual horror scenes were great (very graphic violence) but just not enough of it for me....and the "Soprano's like" ending was kinda stupid, not to mention its only 83 minutes long....i tried for 3 weeks to rent it (since its release) so probably added to not living up to my expectations....but hey, its worth a look (got some great reviews!!)

Saw "I Am Legend" last night. Really liked it. Also saw the preview for Cloverfield which looks amazing. When it comes out here in Mexico I need to go see it. Also saw a preview for "Vantage Point", with Dennis Quaid, Forrest Whitacre, etc. Looks really good too!

I just watched Superbad last week and Eastern Promises. I would recommend both to adults on a 3 /12 out of 5 star bases. Both are defiantly not for kids.

Finally saw Saw 4. I love those movies.

Just finished The Bucket List. I liked it. Definitely a feel good movie but probably not one I would watch over and over. I'm a huge Morgan Freeman fan so I liked it.

If you're a fan of westerns, don't shy away from Yuma. Without giving too much away, my complaint was that I just couldn't believe Russell Crowe's character.

Last last night I finished The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford. I really liked it. Brad Pitt played a great Jesse James and Casey Affleck had a breakthrough role in my opinion. Very good historical movie for those who haven't seen it.

Went to see Alien vs. Predator R on Friday. I really didn't enjoy it much, in fact many parts were kinda gross. It was basically just a bunch of killing with no specific plot. Wasnt awful, but I wouldnt recommend either.

The Eye- It's bad... real bad. As a guy, who likes women and for a movie with Jessica Alba in it and for it to be a mad movie... it's just terrible. I have no reasoning, it's just horrible, every single part of it. It's about a 2.5/10 on the scary rating and about a -54/10 on the entertaining factor. Just my opinions, if you want to see it, be my guest but I'd give it an F, no doubt.

Since my friends knew I was feeling depressed about my recent break-up they dragged me out of my house and hooked me up with another girl to go see The Eye with (they also came along). It was so bad that we had to see something else.

We saw The Bucket List (my "date" has never seen it, my second time) again, was an A+ this time, because I had a beautiful girl crying on my shoulder. But yeah, I actually liked it better the second time, very good movie that kind of went unnoticed to me the first time.

Just got back from Cloverfield. AMAZING movie and crazy. Did anyone stay for the credits? Any clues as to what it said at the end?I've seen it twice and stayed after the credits both times. And both times, I couldn't make out what was said--and I used to work with walkie-talkies too. But from what I've read on the web about the movie, its someone saying either "Help us." or "Now what?".

I did like the movie but the ending was rather abrupt and unfulfilling. I'm sure they'll think of a way to come up with a sequel (if they haven't already). The first time I saw the movie, I sat at the halfway point of the theatre and did find myself getting a bit nauseous (I thought that nausea stuff was just hype for the movie). For the second viewing I sat in the back row and didn't get nauseous at all--weird!!

If I'm not mistaken at the end of the movie they said "It's still alive.". Which certainly sets up a sequel. I've also heard that the sequel may be from anothers point of view that may give better detail to what happened. If you watch closely when they were walking on the bridge, the cameraman walks by another man holding a camera, some say the sequel is going to be from his point of view. Very interesting.

I've been in a groove of watching older movies from when I was a kid with my 9 year old daughter. We just watched Karate Kid 1-3 and she loved it! We are going to watch The Black Stallion tonight.

We also watch The Game Plan and it was one of the better family movies from 2007/2008.

The Bucket List-

This movie surprised me. From the commercials, I thought it was just going to be another stupid comedy where the two old men do a bunch of crazy things and that's that. For part of the movie, that's how it is, but it has a much deeper meaning, and a strong emotional side to it, which I loved. I forced myself not to cry at the end. 4/5 Stars

Atonement-

This movie is not for the weak at heart. If you don't like tragic romance, don't bother watching it. I liked it, but it was incredibly sad and you have to have a certain appreciation for this type of movie to like it. For those hopeless romantics out there, go see it! Again, I forced myself not to cry at the end. 4/5 Stars

I pulled a double movie night with some friends last night.

1st-10000 BC: Was ok I gave it a C+ wasent as much Action as I thought it would have. It coulda had a better ending, but over all it was ok since I like these kinda movies.

2nd-Semi Pro: Not Will Farrels best movie, however you can never go wrong with him. B+ for its randomness comedy.

American Gangster - great flick.....Denzel Washington has to be one of the best 2 or 3 actors of the last 20 years or so....Russell Crowe was also good in this movie!! as a bonus, i watched the directors cut, which turned the 2 hour theatrical release into a 3 hour movie!!

Beowulf - didn't like it at all.....not a fan of all the CGI stuff (which is what the whole movie was)....also not a direct representation of the classic poem, which i was expecting

Failure to Launch (showtime free preview!!) - pretty funny, im a big McConaughey fan....also the best looking Sarah Jessica Parker ive seen in a while!! she looked great in this movie!!

Employee of the Month (showtime free preview!!) - also pretty funny....ive lost alot of respect for Dane Cook (with respect to his standup) but was decent in this....Jessica Simpson has looked better though (like in Dukes of Hazard!!).....also a solid cast of "minor" stars including Dax Shephard, Harland Williams, Efren Ramirez (Pedro from Napoleon Dynamite) and Brian George (Babu Bhatt from Seinfeld)
