He was a good man and and prob the best politician I can think of, we can learn a lot down south of the border from how he carried himself.

Just finished watching the state funeral for Jack. Typically Canadian in all aspects. Starting with O'Canada, followed up by a blessing from a native leader and the presentation of a white eagle feather to his widow, a reading from the Qu'ran, a reading from the Bible, eulogies from his kids and others all filled with endearing sentiments, humour and social democratic cheerleading. Mix in some classical music, some van morrison, Steven Page (formerly Barenaked Ladies frontman) singing Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah, and Lorraine Segato (Parachute Club) singing Rise Up. Presided over by Brent Hawkes, a gay pastor and LGBT activist.

Gotta love this country!!
