this guy offered me this trade would you do, I am saying no at time because you never know. I know sanders will go up when he get's elected into the FB HOF, but these guy got potential all of them. I lose a lot of diversity, would you agree.

> >Kearns,Rivera,Cruz,Nomo,Sabathia,George,Spivey, 01 Hamilton

I got like 2 or 3 of each. at lease 2 and no more than 3 and only 1 sabathia.

I dont collect in quantity unless t's a card that I feel like has a ton of growing potential, and that Barry Sanders classic really doesn't have that growing potential. I'll say no to the trade.

I would have to decline this one, the reason being is I don't like trading away several different cards for a lot of just one player, if that card doesn't have a chance for real growth potential and I don't think his classic card does, I'm a big Sanders fan but I think your better off keeping what you have...

I agree with both, the guy emailed me back and was like why did you turn down the offer, I offered you a proven star for some cards that might go up in value. I told him, we all know what barry can do, but the thing he ain't doing it no more, he is done and there is no way his card will take a really big spike, he finished player.

I love Barry and his running style and have no doubts about if he would have continued playing emmitt would have that record. I still remember barry stopping on a dime and going the other way making everybody miss. hey did anybody ever catch his college games, OMG, the guy used to make defenses look really silly.

I ain't doing it, I just wanted to see what others thought.
I do have sanders on my trade list for like 10 of him but not for rookies, plus he will spike a little when he goes in the HOF, not college.

i'd pass on that trade.

Unless Barry Sanders comes back to play, or somehow becomes more prominent in the public eye, his cards won't go up in value as fast as athletes who are currently active.

I also say no. I have alot of high dollar Sanders cards and they are not wanted by anyone. So I'm keeping them ...Just in case.

Look what his rookie has done since he retired. I would'nt trade prominent young stars for him either.

he was so pissed, so I told him I would do the trade if he threw in 2-2002 hunters in the mix and it's funny I never heard back from him.

LOL

Smart move, gio. I'm surprised this guy was so persistent, or rather, aggressive.

he must of new that I was new to etopps, but not new to life, like I said he email me back and said that would be crazy to give you the 2-02 hunter with the deal and I emailed him and said i guess now you get my point that was a stupid offer in the first place, people like that will run people away, because there are trying to rip people off and they will compain when they don't get there cards, because the person really thought about it.

In order to make this better we got to self police people like that I put him on my blocked trader list and my blocked ebay list.

I would agree with no. The only way I would say yes is if you collect multiples. Other then that it would be a waste of time and space. :)

I get so many ridiculous offers its incredible. I feel that I am a pretty fair trader and have never tried to intentionally rip someone. The otherday someone offered me an 02 Curry for my 01 Iverson.. The common ripoff trade is for someone to take a current spiked price and to try to trade with your current unspiked card hoping that your stupid and know nothing about the cards price history..
If I think the offer is in the ballpark generally I will trade, I have traded in alot of peoples favor and am not willing to get in a pissing match over 50 cents. If the offer is to ridiculous I just hit the ignore button and move on. There are many things in life that you cant do nothing about and stupidity is one of them..

Some of the worst offers I've got were a 02 Prior for my 01 Soriano (Soriano was at $55 and Prior was at $32. I e-mailed the guy asking if he was serious and he said Prior has no where to go up while Soriano has already peaked and will be falling). Also, the same guy about a month later offered to sell me 5 Hinske's for $42 (Hinske was only at $5.50). Just 2 days ago I got an offer of 5 Hinske's ($33) for my 01 Soriano ($44).

Just like in Real Estate I offer 80% off the 7 day avg for the card because it is instant profit on trades I use 7 day avg I think that is the best way to go, but you have to thing too, what if we didn't have cardtarget, that is why I over paid for a few cards early on.

everybody doesn't know about cardtaget so if it is a pike it pretty hard to know exactly.
