Seriously, these people have lost all credibility. How could anyone take these people serious anymore? All these pople are doing at this point is creating chaos and celebrating the destruction that they are causing.

A day of demonstrations in Oakland that began as a significant step toward expanding the political and economic influence of the Occupy Wall Street movement, ended with police in riot gear arresting dozens of protesters who had marched through downtown to break into a vacant building, shattering windows, spraying graffiti and setting fires along the way.

Letting the people of Oakland be your model for the "Occupy" movement is akin to using the White Supremacists of the South as your model for the Republican right or Pelosi as the spokesperson of the left.... er... oops.

The reason you hear about them the most if because the media loves crazy. Why did Bachmann get so much attention early? Why did Herman Cain's sexual allegations get more press than even his 9-9-9 plan? The extreme has always merited more attention.

I can't wait for Mitt Romney's 8.5-8.5-8.5 plan!

Violence in Oakland?! The mere implication is absurd...

You sound scared..."these people" are just a few in "this country" that are fed up with how this country is being ran and where it is heading...you honestly haven't seen anything, yet...

Trust me, I am not scared LOL

Apparently you are correct, we have seen nothing yet. Now people are dying at their "peaceful" rallies.

As soon as the troublemakers showed up the peaceful protesters should have closed up shop; The fact they have not and have allowed the anarchists and drug addicts and other troublemakers to keep doing what they are doing with no regard for human life shows that they all need to be gone...

Squatters, squawkers, occupiers, protesters, Call them what you want.
Get a job, Make a job, and get a life.
They are just given a chance to thrash and make the problem worse.

My point exactly. If I were at a rally for something that I cared deeply about I would not turn a blind eye to a guy masturbating, spitting on military people or a topless woman walking around (OK, not a great example but you get my point LOL).

If you care about your cause then you will not allow these types of people to mar the image of your cause. The fact that the "Occupy" people have welcomed these dregs into their midst speaks volumes.

I think another thing is that Occupy is not unified. When I drive by the droves of protesters around here, I see a majority of signs about whaling, abortion, drug legalization...almost anything EXCEPT the original cause.

I mean, it makes sense since the people who are actually protesting pretty much come from a lower common denominator. The Occupy people are mostly jobless and homeless, at least around here.

The people who really would make a difference for protesting have jobs and are more educated - and really, those people have too much to lose to even think about joining Occupy.

talk about brainwashed. The police have every right to do so because the protestors are resisting arrest, obstructing justice, causing public and private property damage, refusing to disassemble when issues an order by the city. Majority of these people are looking for handouts because they are jealous that others make much more money than them and know how to work the system.

Have you seen the Occupy crowds? It either looks like they're coming out of a rap concert or Grateful Dead concert. The groups are filled with thugs, squatters, hippies, etc.

I applaud the police efforts and actually wish they would do more, possibly get more proactive to force the protestors out of the area
