First of all let me start by saying that I am a TI fan and I am not posting this article to bash TI. I thought it was interesting and wanted to post to get the forums thoughts and opinions on it. Enjoy.

I am a TI fan as well. I don't disagree with his perspective. It has really truly reached the point where any comment that is considered not pro-gay is considered anti-gay.

This statement is entirely correct IMO.

"If you’re gay you should have the right to be gay in peace, and if you’re against it you should have the right to be against it in peace."

This is a free country. As long as you are not being offensive or biased then you should be able to be for or against ANYTHING without harrassment or persecution for your position.

I can't believe you'd say such a thing. My feelings are hurt :winking0071:

I agree with the point he was trying to make 100%

GLAAD cries foul on EVERYTHING just as an example. If you say anything not positive about gays GLAAD will cry foul and make a huge deal about it until they back you into a corner

Completely support his comments. He was not being disrespectful and he was being completely honest.

agree completely. they call for boycotts on any show on tv that doesn't have a gay or lesbian represented.

I have a few thoughts... I'm so so about TI. I like that he tried to make a positive thing about the trouble he had but he got back into trouble with drugs after he did his time. As for his music it's okay. I like a few of his songs, but I think he lyrics leave a bit to be desired when it comes down to it.

As far as saying gays need to get a sense of humor, I'm sure in some cases there are some that do, just as in any group of people. However I find it odd that he said that in context to a "joke" tracy morgan said about stabbing his son if he was gay.

I'm not comparing the oppression of blacks and gays as equal, but there are some similarities and I always find it odd that an african american or any minority wouldn't somehow connect in some way with what homosexuals go through in a society that typically wants to not allow them to have the same rights heterosexuals have.
