I saw that yesterday. Kind of ironic.

See, gay marriage is just like traditional marriage.

I wonder which one of them if any is going to have to pay alimony.

Do they make women pay that? I joke, but you rarely hear of a woman paying alimony.

Then I have a problem with it. If a man marries a woman and divorces her he is subject to pay alimony. Why should a woman be exempted from having to pay? It sounds real discriminatory to me.

I assume that if one woman was the primary support for the other that alimony could be given, but you rarely hear of a woman paying alimony.

I still don't think it's right. I understand that children can't work and that is the case for child support but I have a problem with courts odering an adult to take financially take care of another able bodied adult who feels that she should be able to live off the blood, sweat and tears of someone else. If the woman would have never got married in the first place she would have found a way to take care of herself.

I'd assume alimony is enforced by the state law. some states have it and some don't from what I have heard. I'd say that if a homosexual couple divorces and one of the persons wants and goes through the legal process to get alimony then I'd bet they'd get it.
