I put this auction up on Ebay and just wanted to know if it is ok to include the referral address in the description. LMK.

I don't think that's spamming, since only folks who are interested in sports will be clicking on your auctions.

ebay might cancel your auction you are not suppose to have any links to other sites so they say, I used to link to beckett, but a cool way is create an about me page and direct people there and then you go have you link there. as long as some cry babies don't complain it will be ok.

I did it a couple of weeks ago on one of my auctions and no one said anything negative, I just put below the description that if anyone was interested in discussing the hobby and earning points towards free sportscards to use the link...

I think it is cool to do but you some whiny ebayers who got nothing better else to do, you ever went to ebay's message boards you will see what I mean.

It's fine with me fellas. As long as Ebay doesn't get upset about it it's totally cool.

I would recommend inserting the logo here as an image and using your referral id as the link so its not obvious as many people don't like to click on referral links.

You could do something like this to make a banner:

<a href="YOUR REFERRAL LINK" target="_blank">
<img src="http://www.sportscardforum.com/style_images/scf.jpg"></a>

with the YOUR REFERRAL LINK portion being your actual link in the quotes. It should work. If not let me know.
