It turns out that such language is within the accepted limits of American law and such advertisements are protected under the First Amendment of the US constitution, guaranteeing free speech.

But conservatives argue that the treatment Obama gets is no worse than what liberals dished out to former president George W. Bush, especially in his second term after the US-led invasion of Iraq.

While the message is inappropriate, both quotes are accurate.

To all those who are against the so called "obamacare" do you have a better idea?

Yes. Repeal Obamacare. It does more harm than good.

And do what? Let everyone who can't afford healthcare drop dead?

It's not very tasteful, but they have the constitutional right to do it.

Obama care hasn't even been enacted. The last time I checked the price of everything has been going up. Here's the shocker. Prices have been going up long before President Obama was even elected. :thumb:

you can put your thumb back down my friend because my premiums were constant for over 2 years until the last year and half they have skyrocketed. it isn't about obamacare being enacted. it is about insurance companies responding before it gets enacted.

Business look for any excuses to raise prices and lowering their employees wages which will in turn pad their bottom line.

No, they are raising prices to keep up with the insane compliance costs of ObamaCare.

My premiums went up for a few years in the mid to late 2000's. They have been static for the past 4 years or so.

not my company. at present day anyway. When my company did raise our premiums in 2005 or so it was due to rising costs of healthcare and also lowering their expenses.

I tend to believe that healthcare costs tend to rise because we have lots of people living well into their 80's or even older and we have a lot of younger people in poor health. Surely there are a lot of other factors that come into play as well, but large amounts of baby boomers getting to the age of needed more healthcare than they did during their younger years might be a pretty big factor.

as for the OP. that company has every right to advertise that quote although I find it rather unprofessional to some degree. Part of me also could care less.

I'm not sure what benefits for gays and condoms has to do with healthcare premium increases and the claim that it has to do with obamacare. What benefits are gays getting from obamacare that others aren't? I haven't heard anything stating that condoms are being covered by any healthcare, obamacare or otherwise. I guess I could technically buy condoms with my healthcare flexible spending account but I'm not sure exactly.

higher insurance premiums have happened well before obamacare? Now, that's to say that obamacare hasn't influenced premiums to some degree. I'm not sure exactly, but to just say that premiums went up after obamacare was passed (but not implemented) doesn't mean that said increases then are completely because of obamacare.

Ironic that no one wants insurance to cover birth control, but there's no problem with it covering Viagra.

good point. if you think about it, if your company offers birth control it may prevent some unplanned pregnancies that will fall into the overall costs of your entire companies premiums. child delivery isn't cheap so in the long run you may save some money if you are looking at it from a whole company view.
