It's back, and better than before. This years Diamond Challenge will not only test your ability to predict the season, but will also challenge your knowledge and love of the game. Back are the award predictor, Homerun Derby Challenge, and All-Star Game contest. But, we have also added a handful of daily contests for your baseball pleasure.
Who Goes Deep? (http://www.sportscardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1627280) - predict who hits a homerun each day
Beat the Streak (http://www.sportscardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1627281) - predict who gets a base hit each day
Swiper no Swiping (http://www.sportscardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1627282) - predict who steals a base each day
Kan you Kount? (http://www.sportscardforum.com/showthread.php?p=11326288#post11326288) - predict which pitcher strikes out 10 hitters in a game each day.
Again, these new contests are run daily, so you will need to visit the contest each day to earn points.
Rules:
The rules for each contest are found within their respective pages. However, the one rule that will cover all of the Diamond Challenge contests is that you must have 200 posts and 10 completed trades to enter. If you don't have the stats at the beginning of the contest, then it's time to get trading and posting. But don't worry, you will have time to enter the contests once you reach the criteria. These contests are open to all members who meet the criteria, including staff.
Tie Breaker:
In the event of a tie at the end of the contest, the member who held the longest streak in the Who Goes Deep Challenge will be declared the winner. If after that, there is still a tie, the member with the longest streak in the Beat the Streak contest will be declared the winner. If after that, we are still tied, we will do the same with the swiper no swiping contest, and if need be, the Kan You Kount contest. If, somehow after all of that, we are still tied we will move to most points earned in each of the 4 daily contests, in the same order as above.
Prizes:
4th Place - 2000 CC
3rd Place - 2011 USA Baseball Autographs Red A46 Troy Conyers Autograph (86/99)
