On the surface, at least, it seems to be different than the Trayvon Martin case. If this kid was armed, it changes the game entirely.

not a lot of facts in that article to go on. It did say that a gun near the teen had been fired 4 times. I wonder if the kid fired at the guard those four times. It's curious why he was shot in the back, but maybe he shot four times and then turned to run as the guard was firing back.

Clearly he was murdered. Just because he was in the middle of a theft and fired a gun is irrelevant. He was killed by a white guy so it is automatically murder and everything else is moot.

Just tired of the silliness. Since when does a guard shooting back constitute murder? The skin color of the person who was shot means nothing. He was a criminal in the midst of a crime who fired a weapon at the person trying to stop them. Not murder.

from what i read he was in a conflict with someone else and was being chased and shot at, the guard seen this and shot back killing the kid.
