Maybe it did, and I just missed it. Allen West is taking heat for essentially calling out the current members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus as being communists. I'm not sure if they are communists, but the Democratic Socialists of America claimed in 2009 that the all of the members of the caucus were also DSA members, and it didn't even make the news.

I didn't hear anything about it either. Just a guess but the media doesn't like to cover anything that paints anything liberal in a negative light. Also there are a few significant liberals like Bernie Sanders, Barney Frank, Charles Rangel, Maxine Waters and Corrine Brown that the liberal media would want to protect from association with socialism.
