Hey everyone. I am in the process of writing a series of children's books. Just looking for some advice if anyone has any.

This is a series of books revolving around a young boy as he grows up and learns what life has to offer. For Example, him learning how things work and about animals and all that good stuff.. No time to go into full detail!

I need a couple of things.. I need to find an illustrator and publisher.. What are my most cost effective means of doing so?

The most cost effective way of finding an illustrator is to find a buddy that can draw decently, and enjoys using bright colors - I know, not the answer you were looking for, but it's the truth.

As far as publisher's go, it'd be a good idea to check out http://www.publishamerica.com/

Good luck.

another option is to look at Amazon. You can self-publish your work there, sell it there and you can even work through them and actually print copies. My co-workers wife just accomplished this through them.
