insurance is expensive I usually only use it on a card on $250 or more.
it is kind of risky if you do not use it.
When do you guys use insurance what value does the card have to be at?

For me it depends on who I'm sending the card to,if it is someone I've made many deals with or a friend it will be in the 50 dollar range, for someone I've never dealt with 25 dollars is my price for what I will insure something. It gives me piece of mind, and too many people are dishonest nowadays,so I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Insurance is so expensive in sweden so i would only do it if the buyer pays for it.

regular shipping for one card to the US is around 3-4 bucks, with insurance the same package would cost me around 25 if not even more . Im happy in some way that i dont deal with high end cards. :)

most of my larger lots are shipped through UPS or FedEx which have automatic insurance. As far as USPS, I rarely use insurance. I typically use it for stuff over $100. I've never had to use insurance from the USPS but something tells me that it's probably a huge ordeal to collect. To me, Delivery Confirmation is way more important. Typically if an item is packaged well there is minimal to no risk of damage. If an item is valuable I tend to pack it tightly in a box and then place it inside another box.

If I can't afford to replace the item for the other member in some fashion.
