Im not sure what type of legal authority he has to keep them out of the city. I say let the consumer decide.

He can prevent them from getting the necessary permits to operate.

So in response to chick fil a's statement of "exclusion" the mayor will exclude them? Gotcha

Can't say I agree with the mayor....Chick-Fil-A might be INTOLERANT but that doesn't mean you play the same exclusion game they're playing.

You gotta be better then them....you gotta show them that our side is tolerant and despite their stupid stance they can still operate their business in that city.

The world will be a boring place if everybody thinks the same way, so why are people trying to force their opionins on other people.

Unfortunately that is the goal of some of the more conservative people out there.

I'll still be eating Chik-Fil-A except on Sundays since they're closed that day. I don't care who or what serves it to me as long as my food isn't spit on. Besides it's a Southern thing so why even put one in Boston?

Well, if you compare him to the average person in the People's Republic of Cambridge across the river...

well, he's a democrat with a degree in community planning, sounds like a liberal to me.

Yes, because all liberals are totally open to other people having their own opinions and beliefs, right? Oh wait, this thread is about a liberal mayor blocking a conservative business from being in his city because they don't adhere to his opinions and beliefs...so much for the concept of the open-minded liberal.

Haha, the irony is just crazy.
Have you heard of any conservative mayors trying to ban oreo? Because I have heard of a liberal mayor trying to ban cfa. This was a very poorly placed comment. I mean, I might think that was an ironic joke from a conservative person if I didn't know you better.
