At this point, I see why some may have an issue with it still, but I wouldn't/don't. I believe he is a changed person, so why not allow him to get a family dog? If he was dumb enough to get involved with what he use to do again, he'd go back to jail, and I don't think he's that dumb.

There are way more import issues to bicker over than Vick. And alot of ex-convicts who have done worse crimes have animals so why not him. Even though I am totally against people having animals as pets.

What type of pets should people have? You would think that most dogs and cats have it made. They can sit around and do nothing not having to worry about where their next meal is coming from or keeping a roof over their head.

Really? Domestic dogs and cats have been around for 1000s of years. The benefits to both the animals and the humans is immeasurable.

You lost me right there. Why should people not have animals as pets?

I see no reason why he shouldn't have a dog. People abuse their kids, does the government prevent them from having more kids? Absolutely not. No reason why a dog should get more protection than humans do.

Pets should have people.

What right do we have to cage animals for our enjoyment, they deserve the right to be free and do as they please when they please not be at our beck and call

I have 3 cats and believe me, they do what they want, when they want and to say they're at my beck and call is the most laughable thing I've heard this month.

You do realize not everyone cages animals, right? The first dog my family had the dog only was caged as a puppy for a few months until she learned how to hold her bladder, or let someone know when she needed to go outside, 14 years later and another dog, both of them do and go wherever they like.

You are generalizing way too much here.

i'll say it: Barf!
vick has pretty much soured my love for my team, that's pretty sad. maybe he deserves a second chance and all that, i just wasn't expecting it to be with the eagles. i don't even like pets or anything, it's just that vick seems like a... less than good person, to put it nicely.

I don't like Vick, but one thing remains true.
He was caught, he was tried, he was convicted and he's done his time. As far as I'm concerned he can do what he wants (within the law of course) and until he is caught doing the same thing, he has the right to live his life. If he's caught again, bar him from ever owning a pet of any sort. But until then, this isn't news, it's gossip.
