He will be the youngest player ever to hit 300 if he gets it in the next 82 days. I will go out on a limb here and say I think he'll do it. IggyWH 03-30-2003, 10:45 PM I sure wouldn't mind a little spike on my Arod etopps cards from 300 :p gioperation 03-30-2003, 10:49 PM how many does he need for 300 ryan IggyWH 03-30-2003, 10:53 PM Originally posted by cardcollector869 One more for 300 for AROD in his career. Hmmm... I'll put my money down on 1 HR. Anyone care to bet? jdfan123 03-30-2003, 11:20 PM jaun gone is going to be huge this year he always puts it together in the last year signs a contract and well you know the story gioperation 03-30-2003, 11:33 PM Originally posted by jdfan123 jaun gone is going to be huge this year he always puts it together in the last year signs a contract and well you know the story no doubt about that I bet he hits 40+ jacks and 150 rbi's this year, back in his old form, as long as he can stay healthy ryan IggyWH 03-30-2003, 11:35 PM Originally posted by gioperation no doubt about that I bet he hits 40+ jacks and 150 rbi's this year, back in his old form, as long as he can stay healthy ryan Definitely as long as he stays healthy. I tried drafting him on my fantasy team, but someone picked him wayyyyyyy too early. gioperation 03-31-2003, 12:02 AM can you say playing for $$$ it is his contract year he will not get hurt even if he is hurt you know what I mean. ryan oh by the way you got mail concerning hinske podstock 03-31-2003, 12:09 AM A Rod is incredible. What a player! Even if I don't think he warrants a $25M a year contract. Little good he did in helping the Rangers to last place finishes the last 2 years. They could've paid me minimum wage, and the results in the standings wouldn't have been any different. gioperation 03-31-2003, 12:22 AM and not a lot of people know this but in the 8,9 and 10th year he has to be the highest paid SS in the league guaranteed. if is not whether he deserves the $$$ or not, it is just like a job they only pay you enough to keep you there and no more. BB players are no more than high paid salary employees. Most of them will tell you that they are over paid, but they will take what they can get just like you and I. podstock 03-31-2003, 03:02 AM GI -- wow, I didn't know that. but somewhere down the future, the skyrocketing salaries have to stop. Even A. Rod has talked, and I seriously doubt he'd go through it, that he'd renegotiate the contract to bring in other players to help Rangers win a world series plunge 03-31-2003, 10:54 AM ARod ought to renegotiate his salary. Texas needs pitching! podstock 04-02-2003, 08:09 PM well, it didn't take A Rod long to hit #300. lol 3 games into the season, and he's got 2 homers. And the Rangers are 1-2. |
