wow,

worst start in last 15 years. 2 runs in first 3 games.

Maddux got rocked.

Not to mention injuries to the starting pitchers.

Braves have had a marvelous run (something like 10 straight division titles)....but it'd be nice to see another team win that division.

Well first off its only the first week of the season so its no big deal. But a few things have led to their bad start.

First I believe that they made a lot of bad moves in the offseason. Some people liked the moves but they would have been better keeping who they had.

Second, they have no fan support. Where are all of the fans in Atlanta? They have playoff games that don't sell out.

If they continue to lose though it is going to be a very season for the players.

I think the main reason for loss of fan support is the fact that the Braves have won something like 10-12 consecutive division titles.

It gets boring after a while.

And to exacerbate the situation, the Braves managed 1 World Series title while dominating the 1990s.

Not exactly awe-inspiring.

Even the Cubbies fans might yawn if their team won 10-12 straight division titles.

I can understand the Atlanta Hawks having no fan support; but the Braves should have diehard fans crowding the stadium.

I never think winning can be boring; but apparently, the folks in Atlanta do.

Didn't they have a losing record about a month into the season and still win the division last year? I could be mistaken though.
0-3 is nothing. Look at how the A's have started the last 2 years.
They always stink starting out but have won over 100 games each year.

The Phillies will take the division this year. They have a good young pitching staff. The addition of Thome is huge. Burrell and Rollins are future stars that I believe will have a big year and Marlon Byrd is gonna be a player to be reckoned with.

Molina -- yea, true, good point. Naturally, it's early in the season...

Yeah but Yankee fans haven't gotten bored of their team. Its a shame that the team does good and does not get a lot of fan support. More people should be supporting the Braves. Maybe they would win something with more support.

The Braves have become predictable: win the division, choke during the playoffs. This has been happening for more than ten years except for one year when they won it all. They should try to mix up what they always do by either winning the World Series or by not getting the division title.

plunge...lolol. hey, you can't do that in sports. all you can do is perform at your best to qualify for the play-offs, then hope your momentum carries you to the titles.

Much like the Lakers of the past 3 years.

And hopefully, this year, too!! Assuming they play some defense. Hell, I could score 20 points playing against the Lakers. I sure as heck wouldn't have the capability to stop or slow down or contain Kobe....but I could score 20

lololo

Yeah but if you don't support your team through thick and thin then you really aren't fans.

It's tough to support your team when they're playing badly for a number of years, like the Dodgers.

That's why I have so much admiration for the Cubbies; they always draw well in attendance, despite 100 years of futility

Um, the Dodgers have won a championship in the past 20 years. There are dozens of teams in baseball that have NEVER won a championship or haven't won one in the past 90 years.

The only thing I have to say is that it is hard for some people to stay a die hard fan (Braves fans) when you know that they will choke even though they have had many wins over the past 10 to 12 years. Like with the Yankees they have more to show for their wins then the Braves do. Plus alot more people are watching football now a days. :)
