Tim, unfortunately, I think Mourning is done for his career, esp. with that kidney illness (although he may try to sneak another year or two in).

During his time as a player, he didn't really make that much of an impact.

Much like Ralph Sampson.

Yes, I agree. Just think he was pretty good, and it's a fairly rare card. Too bad he's done :(

hey, if he's medically healthy...my Lakers could always use a backup center of his caliber, to help take off some of the game minutes from Shaq.

We don't got another center other than Shaq.

Samaki's a wannabe player. Really bad hands on the offense; no good footwork on defense.

That's true. I don't like Samaki, I agree with what you're saying about him.

Tim...apparently, Phil agrees with both of us, b/c Mark Madsen has supplanted Samaki in the rotation.

Madsen has got pretty good hands, even though he's very clumsy on the offensive end.

Samaki hasn't improved in the past 2 years, since he was given the starting job.

alonzo was a stud and he made people think twice about trying to take it to the cup, he played a very emotional game so the one bad thing about him was you could get inside his head, but he might have grew out of that if it wasn't for the illness and there is talk about him coming back. he also made the heat better, he was always a shot blocking presence in the middle.

Gioperation..yep, I agree with that assessment, which is why the Lakers would be a perfect fit for him

Shaq normally plays about 34-40 minutes...so the rest of the minutes could be left to Alonzo. He wouldn't have to carry the team; nor would he have to exert too much energy.
