Has anyone seen this guy on CBS? He's a complete idiot. I hate to say that, but every game he picks the upset. He thinks Syracuse beats Kansas. While I respect that, every game he picks the upset (except for Vermont vs. Arizona or something like that) and gives the most absurd reasons. He should stick to college football. Does anyone agree with me?

Tim,
I like Clark Kellogg.
The thing about predictions -- you've got a 50/50 shot.
You want a moron? Try Bill Walton. This dude doesn't know half the things he is talking about.
Good thing Tom Tolbert came along -- very refreshing, frank, and reasonable. Everything that Walton lacks

I agree, I can't stand Walton. Tolbert's good, though. I don't like Kellogg, but I like Vitale :)

Tolbert was a huge surprise as an analyst. His rookie year as an analyst for NBC was last year, and a lot of folks like how he expressed his thought.
When NBC lost the NBA to ABC and ESPN (is that enough abbreviations for you, lolol), I am glad they hired Tolbert.
Steve "Snapper" Jones and Walton used to go after each other's throat and totally forget about the game they were covering.

Listening to Vitale hurts my ears; I usually end up having to turn down the volume on the TV.

I do a great Vitale impression. He's excitement can be fake. Can a guy be THAT excited? Well.....:)

Personally, I don't like him. This bit of information that I learned didn't help my already bad impression of him either:
"If you were listening Thursday night to ESPN's **** Vitale during the NBA draft coverage, you heard him name two players who he thought would have an impact right away and be stars in the league.
He mentioned Carmelo Anthony, who went to Denver, and T.J. Ford, who went to Milwaukee. Vitale offered this opinion before the draft-selection process began.
Now if you are of a certain age, as Vitale was saying this your mind drifted back to 1979. Back then, Vitale was with the Detroit Pistons. He not only chose Michigan State's Greg Kelser over Arkansas' Sidney Moncrief, but he paid the Bucks $50,000 to move up a spot to take Kelser.
Given that circumstance, you tend to be a bit skeptical about any pronouncement Vitale makes about the pro potential of college players. Who knows? If he had chosen Moncrief, he might still be in the league making the choices instead of just talking about choices on TV."
