Could someone please tell me on average how much you should figure to sell your commons for, I have someone offering to purchase a bunch of my 2003 excess but he wants stars and commons in lots and I am trying to figure out a % that is a fair price for the commons and the stars together...Thanks in advance...

Hmmm, I would it depends on how many. Let us know how many.

Say for instance low numbers around 200 or so, mostly ones that I have left over after I have made sets like 2003 Topps Chrome...Granted 200 cards isn't much but there is well over half a set there...

I'm thinking you can get a pretty good amount for it. Say, $40 for a few hundred fillers, etc. JMO.

what I would do is figure out appx hom much the stars are worth and then do maybe 30-50% of that and just include the commons in the deal.
just a suggestion

Yeah, I'd do what gio said. Whenever I get money for commons I just see it as a bonus. The cards are really worth nothing to me.

have to agree with pwaldo.
Commons just means I have to buy another 5000-count box to store them in, or else throw them away.
So, I figure, if I can get $0.01-0.02 for a common, I'm happy.

tutall..when I sell cards, I just tell the Ebay buyers that they pay only cost of shipping to be figured out at end of auction. No handling fees.
That way, you're covered if S&H is more than you expected.

that is if you sell on ebay though..i guess i could but usually when i sell something on a site i will say something like 15.00 shipped...then they send me the 15 bux and then i send the card(s) o well...i was out a little but it wont happen again lol

I just try to sell my commons as much as I can.

Tim --- agree with you. The ideal is to be lucky enough to find someone who is a fan of a player that you have a bunch of commons of, then trade for a player of your choice.
I am not much of a fan of Joe Thornton (not a fan of hockey in general); but I had a nice card of him; I was able to find a cool dude on the hockey trading thread who had a couple of Kobes, and we did the trade.
The Kobes I got were excellent!! I hope he likes my Thornton

Yeah, same here. I have a bunch of hockey I'll trade, as I don't really like it.

There are 2 hockey cards that I'd really like to have
1. Wayne Gretzky rookie
2. Lemiuex (sic) rookie.
