Hi,
can someone here tell how to differentiate between a card that is a refractor, and one that is not.
Here is the Wade Boggs Topps Chrome Hall Bound #HB3 card
The regular card books about $3-6
The refractor books about $6-12
Attached is a scan....can anyone tell from the scan if it is a refractor or not?
Sorry for the bad scan, but the card is shiny and glossy, and that makes it difficult to take the scan, as you can see by the glare.

Check on the back of the card, it will say whether or not it is a refractor.

Tim, you mean, the fine print has to say "refractor"?
All I see is the mention of hologram

Yes if it was a refractor it would say it on the back. I believe Topps did this after 1993.

well, it doesn't say that, so I suppose it's not a refractor, lol
Thanks for your help

podstock-
It usually says refractor directly under the number of the card. Hope this helps.

Lefty...thanks for that tip. I'll go look and see.
Sheesh. And let's not even talk about die-cut and non-die-cut cards....what the hell is that?

die-cut are cut differently from the normal cards. You will know instantly when you get one.

Jerry..thanks. But, would you mind downloading the scan of my Wade Boggs in my very first post above?
If you look closely, you're see that the upper right and left margins are cut at an angle (sorry for bad scan --- bad lighting and bad photography skills)
Does this mean the Wade Boggs cards is a die-cut?
thanks

Whatnobeer --- just got your PM. I am putting the scan of back of card here, and will link it to you in Pm
From what I've been told, it's not a refractor, just the regular, thus only books $3-$6 on beckett.com

What about the other Boggs card we were talking about, are you interested in that one?
Would like to trade a couple of cards, if only b/c the cost of postage to send single cards eventually adds up.
Do you have any Kobe commons?
