Personally I think it will be McCown. I still don't know why they didn't draft Leinart or Cutler....

Whole team and coaching staff are high on Kitna. He's going to get the nod to start the season. Maybe to groom whoever comes out on top from Mccown and orlofsky.

Kitna is going to start, my guess will go down w/ an injury and McCown will come in, either flop or play really well, Orlovsky has a solid arm w/ great leadership qualities.

i was happy we didnt take Leinart or Cutler, no offense to either of em, but defense was what we needed

ive been stocking up on mccown....pretty sure he will get the nod...he is more of a wreckless, gunslinger....much like his coach!! perfect match!!

the better question is who will be the starter for the J E T S ???
they said saturday night that it is a 4 way competition and a decision will be made based on preparation/performance in the preseason....go kelen clemens!!!

Kitna is tapped as the starter through preseason. Unless he blows it up big time, he will get the ball Week 1.

I'd like to see Orlovsky. He can run, has a strong arm, and he's a big guy. He's like an unfinished Daunte Culpepper. Once he gets the confidence and the chance to play regularly, I think he will make a very good QB in the NFL.

I live in Detroit, and all talk from coaches is Kitna will start. I think McCown is far better, but that is not my decision.

I am a HUGE Lions Fan, but I can't get excited about collecting Kitna.

If I were collecting right now I would be stocking up on Kevin Jones, and Charles Rogers. (and Roy Williams if you can get a good deal).

Kevin Jones could go over 1500 yards if he is used properly. Mooch.....don't get me started....

Anyway, with Martz calling the shots I am sure Detroit will be the Tigers of the NFL this season. I think if everyone can stay healthy Detroit will make the Playoffs:new_all_c

Thanks

Kitna will be the opening day starter, but under Mike Martz, Johs McCown will be starting by week 8 at the latest. I think McCown is going to a be a pretty good player IMO, and Kitna is just a solid Back-Up.

You guys don't think Matt Millen has a shot at starting QB?

Fact- I'm going to hang onto the McCown. Yes I do still like the Barry/Anderson Dual GU, but the Green Brady is gone. What does the Barry/Anderson book at?

Almost 3 years later and the Lions have the same discussion. Hopefully Culpepper can go the whole year and Stafford gets a chance to watch and learn.

(If this is closed could I please be informed as too why-thank-you)

I found some that interest me and ones that were still relevant. Seems like the Lions are still looking for a QB.
