I am back to trading cards again after a 5 year lapse and I have a question about the newer numbered cards.

I see a few people looking for numbered cards and I have several cards that are numbered ***/**** on the front or back.

Now then, most of them look to me like they are just numbered base cards. Are cards that are numberd as above inserts or what does the numbering represent?

Somebody please help me sort this out because I would like to put them up for trade but don't want to misrepresent what they are.

Thanks

These are usually parallels

They lok usually the same as the base but have a different color border or foil. depending on the number determines what parallel you have. Alot of sets these days have 5 or 6 parallels of the same curd just numbered differently.

If you can give me more information about the card I may be able to better help you.

The normal card number is usually printed as a base color (part of the normal printing process).

The serial numbered cards (what people are looking for) are usually stamped in gold or silver foil. They will be numbered like you described, for example: 005/100
