Word is there was not many signed pieces by him. In fact if you were to have a SINGLE singed auto of R.C you would be in the $15.000.00 to $25.000.00 range depending on condition of cource. I was listing to a road show for trading & there was a caller that said he had a R.C auto ball & the anoucer just about knocked the mike over & got all huffey & puffey & said real quick STAY ON THE LINE WERE CUTTING TO A COMMERICAL but stay on the line WE WANT TO TALK TO YOU.. I feal there is no real POWER COLLECTION in the memrobila world unless one of the BEST to play the game & rarest is there.. Yes i know Babe Ruth & Lou Gerig. Of cource but that is like mainstream news. R.C Is a quite name that sometimes really goes under the radar.....:icon_roll

the way his career was cut short was a tragedy and will always be remembered, and if u happen to be a person that does have a auto of him then i would imagine that it would cost alot of money. he isnt heard of alot but at the same time he hasnt been forgotten.

The name Roberto Clemente makes me cringe. I was at an estate auction about a year ago and one of the lots was a collection of about 200 mid to early 50's baseball cards 2 of which were clemete rookie cards. The lot sold for $305. I bid up to $300 but didnt have any more money to continue on. The guy who bought it was an older gentlemen and got the best card deal I have ever seen in my entire life.
