I have noticed that when I slip my cards (or wrestle them into the sleeves) I can nick the corner - usually the left bottom corner. Is there a secret to putting these cards into these sleeves without damaging a corner?

Is there a secret to putting these cards into these sleeves without damaging a corner? darthtampon 07-11-2006, 09:46 AM soft sleeves or hard ones? Always make sure the holder is big enough for the card. Also tilt the card to side just a bid to puthe first side in then push over to get the other side in. This should help. sammyisking 07-11-2006, 09:48 AM Squeeze the soft sleeve with your fingers to make a little "hole" to fit the first corner into. After that the other 3 corners should go in fine. Gkeenan 07-11-2006, 11:35 AM Soft sleeves. I tilt the first corner (bottom right) but when I try to put the bottom left corner in it always catches on the edge of the sleeve...sometimes dinging the card... G CYmarlins 07-11-2006, 01:50 PM just make sure the card will fits, because when it doesnt for me, i end up dinging my cards on accident. also like mentioned before tilting the card to a angle really really works well. pgrossma 07-13-2006, 03:24 AM Are there soft sleeves made for really thick (jersey thick, 100+pt stock) cards? My own experience suggests regular sleeves are simply not large enough for these. As for regular thickness cards, I have found a "tilt 'n' slide," one bottom corner at a time approach similar to those described above works reasonably well. The trick is that once the first corner is in it's crucial to gradually bring the entire bottom edge in, which encourages the second corner to avoid the edge of the sleeve. TMILL 07-13-2006, 02:32 PM I actually use scissors and snip the top left corner of the soft sleeve into two...Like open the soft sleeve, and snip it right along the seam (edge) about 2 cm, just on 1 of the sides. Then put the card into the un-snipped side, tilt it, and slide it into the snipped side. Here it is: I drew my process using Paint so don't be hatin' cuz they good!!!
