I would be sending my Harmon Killebrew auto/jrsy (absolute) 3/5 (his jrsy #) and
06 Topps rookie cup Johnny Bench auto BV.$60

Please let me know, I want the Ruth badly, but I wish I would have given the Killebrew a test run on ebay to see what kind of $$$ it would generate.

If you really want the Ruth, I would say do it.

Ditto to what Sammy said. I would prefer something of Babes, I mean just how much stuff are they gonna be able to manufacture of Ruths stuff without taking it out of the HOF?! LOL

Personally I wouldn't do it because I don't like bat cards, but if you want the Ruth then go ahead and pull the trigger.

I would make that trade in a hearbeat, but if you are having reservations about the Killebrew I would check out this auction and use it as a reference to see what the seel value of the Killebrew is;

Search of completed eBay auctions suggests the trade is reasonably fair, perhaps slightly favoring the recipient of your two cards. It also suggests that a best guess for what your Killebrew would realize is somewhere in the $75-100 range. If all you're worried about is that you would have been better off selling the Killebrew and buying a Ruth bat yourself, you have nothing to worry about.

if you like both players equally or even harmon a little less, the signed/jsy card has more of a connection with your player than a piece of some part of a bat that Babe may have used or was just part of his group of bats. i think the trade is fair though, and think Babe stuff always has a better chance of going up in value b/c i agree with what dragonmaker said about limited souvenirs
