View Full Version : I Found Some Old Cards...
jburfiel 07-13-2006, 10:58 PM Hello everyone, I am new at all this so bear with me. I have a few thousand old cards from my brother he gave to me. I have in this collection, I have alot of Donruss 90 cards. I also have alot of Topps cards, as well as Rising Star I also have some Donruss 1994 Edition I couldent tell you much because I am a noob at cards, but I have these Donruss 1994 Edition cards including ken griffey jr barry bonds, and stuff, their big cards. LoL, so please help me out, and I am a little worried about people lieing to me about prices and stuff, so please don't lie.
bravesastros 07-14-2006, 01:59 AM the common 1994 donruss card carries a value of 15 cents per card but players like griffey and bonds carry upwards of 1 to 2 dollars bv,
pgrossma 07-14-2006, 02:50 AM The key rookie card in 1990 Donruss is Sammy Sosa; I've lost track of what it books for these days. Other notable, but not particularly valuable, rookie cards in the set are Juan Gonzalez and Bernie Williams. The Gonzalez rookie has an error version that commands a premium; the error is that his photo was printed with the negative reversed. The easiest way to spot the error is his jersey number, which reads a proper 19 in the correct version and looks pretty odd in the error. Anyone know what that one goes for these days?

anaheimnational 07-14-2006, 03:01 AM mid 80s and early 90s usally arent worth much....
finestkind 07-14-2006, 03:07 AM Baseball cards from about 1986 thru 1996 were way over produced. And don't have too much value.
darthtampon 07-14-2006, 09:04 AM 1990 Donruss 33A Juan Gonzalez RevNg RC $0.75 $2.00
1990 Donruss 33B Juan Gonzalez COR RC $0.40 $1.00
If you put either on ebay you would be real lucky to even get a bid.
jburfiel 07-14-2006, 12:02 PM I found another notebook containing some cards from 92, some Classic Best cards, and some Athletes cards. I appreciate your time, and if I come across some that I think would be something, I'll post here, so please check back, thank you for all these comments. But one more question, say in 40 years, would cards like that be worth much, depending on time, I don't know..

I have a ton of diffrent cards but I just feel llike crap looking at them and thinking of going through them, I couldent tell you if I had something valuble in there that I woulden't even know I had, I have thousands of cards, and I would like ya'lls input on what I should do. Considering I barely watch baseball, and have all these mixed up cards, and all.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but probably not. Cards in this period were just wayyyyyyy overproduced. Its the same problem that is starting to affect Jersey and auto cards, just to many out there for them to hold much value.

asujbl 07-14-2006, 05:24 PM odds are you are wasting way more time then the cards will ever be worth. We'll all be dead before those things are old enough to be worth anything
