One card was an in port and the other wasn't.

Don't remember which one was which though.

The Sammy was in port I think, the Lewis in hand. I might be wrong, as I can't remember either!

I love this site, the store is a great idea and I need some points to get something, I would like to see a pack of SPx hockey, would need a lot of points to get it though, I think those packs sell for a pretty penny

Yes, they are quite a few points but it gives everyone something to shoot for Plunge.

There are several members that are almost half way there in under 2 months of this boards existence.

IMO its not a bad deal to hang out and discuss sports cards for a couple of months and get a card over $50 for doing it.

Because I'm not touching my own cards I personally paid over $50 for each of these.

NICE Updates to the store Bry, I'm impressed I think you should keep the points right where they are at, make people work for these cards LOL.....

100 points for every $1 doesn't seem too crazy for me. Plus I'm sure B will run a few more credit auctions, plus you're 1/5 the way there if you sign up for a premier membership... $34.95 for a website for a year + 1/5 the way for a Vick or Nolan is a good deal!

I don't do a lot of yaking on here, so it may take me almost a year to get 1000 points unless I change.
I think it's great to get a free card once a year just for talking sports and cards, and I get to trade with fellow card collectors.
Now, if I could just get rid of these 1000 1990 Topps Luis Sojo cards......

I can get a few things, but I'm saving points. I might get the Berkman, Bowman Pack, Steve Young, Garciaparra. Anything!

Heyas BGray. You have done a GREAT job on the store there and to be honest I believe that you went above and beyond what you could of done. No matter what I believe that you should keep the points where they are at. No lowering of anykind. hehe. If someone wants a Vick eTopps then they need to work for it. hehe. I personally would love to have one so I now have a goal set for myself. But just keep up the GREAT work you are doing and always remember to have fun. :)

Well, once you get an in-port card, it is for now a virtual card untill you request it to be delivered. Only thing is cards usually drop around 40% from in-port to in-hand so it's useless to take cards out of your own port and have them delivered.

I'll keep that in mind.

How do they determine that you have possession of a card?

Let's say you have a Sammy Sosa Etopps rookie in your portfolio.

Then let's say I hack into your computer and steal it.

How do you have proof that you once had it?

This is why I don't do Etopps.

The only way to really steal it would be to start an ebay auction and transfer it to another portfolio. I am not sure what would really happen if an account got hacked, but I am sure Topps would have some way to freeze the account and get it back to you.

See, although it's a pain in the *** to use eBay for everything, it's also a great thing. All transfer of cards takes place on eBay so there is a record of everything. Also, they use the same encrypting as eBay, PayPal, and whatever else you use on the internet that has personal financial information.

I would think Topps has better things to do than resolve the issue of a few people here and there.

Unless there is mass hacking going on, where 1,000s of folks all of a sudden lose their Etopps, Topps probably isn't going to do a thing.

So, the question remains, if i steal Iggy's Sammy Sosa Etopps, how does Iggy prove he had it to begin with?

Like I said, they use the same encryption... so if I can hack into your etopps port, than I can hack into your bank account also... there's a lot bigger fish to fry than some etopps cards.

I would think that it's way easier to hack into an Etopps portfolio than a bank account.

But then again, I can't even figure out how to get my avatar on without Iggy's help.
