As you can probably tell from my icon, I'm a HUGE Pitt fan. Haven't missed a home game yet and we close out the season vs Seton Hall tomorrow. It would be real nice to go 16-0 in our new building. They beat us at SH the first time around when we were playing like crap, but we're back on track after a big win vs UConn, so bring it Seton Hall!
The Vikes 03-04-2003, 09:46 PM I love Wake Forest. Get em in your bracket if you can.
moonshadowjb 03-04-2003, 10:15 PM lets go HORNS
IggyWH 03-04-2003, 11:16 PM Nice upset in the SEC I just got done watching, Georgia beat Florida. Maybe that'll open up a spot for my Panthers to move up in the rankings!
BGray 03-04-2003, 11:32 PM I realized I need to define a plain old sports talk forum. I went ahead and put sports and fantasy sports talk together and moved this thread there. Good one by the way! ;)

I saw that Duke game the other day. Man was I pissed off, I almost kicked the cat. Anyway, Coach K won't let that happen again.

j.e.lew 03-05-2003, 02:10 AM Dont under estimate Wisconsin... Tommorows game against Illinios will be good . For the BIG10 Championship
mtduff4208 03-05-2003, 02:54 PM UCONN is osm but very inconsistent but u never know
plunge 03-05-2003, 02:58 PM My guess is an SEC team will win the NCAA tourney like Louisville, Kentucky or Duke.

Not really trying to correct you, but SEC teams would be Kentucky, Florida, Georgia, & Mississippi St. Louisville is in C-USA and Duke is in the ACC... all are teams that can win it.
plunge 03-05-2003, 03:27 PM Oops. I meant the southeast geographically.
bassmaster 03-05-2003, 03:51 PM I think Arizona takes it all.
radioheadfloyd 03-05-2003, 06:37 PM I agree, my money is on Arizona.

You poor guy, for being a Penn State alum, I will deduct 10,000 points from you :p In all realness, PSU has no chance of seeing post season activity, even NIT for them this year is a HUGE stretch.
plunge 03-05-2003, 10:45 PM Just 10,000? Gosh, I'm getting off easy!
I'm not surprised by what you said, Iggy. They're a one-sport school, even with a beautiful basketball arena.

Not anymore mister psu... our hoops team will stay a top10 team for the next couple years for sure. Hopefully they'll go far into the tourny cause I got my money saved up to follow them! We have a top25 football team too, and possibly a top10 squad next year! We had a great squad this year and if it wasn't for Rod playing so stupid, we could have won a few more games and got into a BCS game. Whenever JoePa quits bs'ing and signs a new contract to play Pitt, then we can talk, but untill then, Pitt beat PSU last so I got all the room to talk :)
plunge 03-05-2003, 11:04 PM Iggy, I meant PSU being a one-sport school, not Pitt. Which reminds me of the t-shirt that was worn on campus "Shitt on Pitt" :D
mtduff4208 03-06-2003, 03:07 PM u think bc has a chance to make the tourney?
jbman187 03-06-2003, 03:21 PM BC All the way great comeback season

LOL... my pops had an awesome t-shirt when it went to Pitt, it said "I root for 2 teams, Pitt and whoever plays Penn State"

How many times do I have to tell you Jb and ya buddy MJ, BC isn't even going to make the Tourny. They're only hope is to win the Big East Tourny and that isn't going to happen.

plunge 03-07-2003, 03:46 PM I think the term March Madness should also refer to those who can't take the last month of waiting for the baseball season to begin.
