View Full Version : Mike Bell or Frank Gore for week one. eaglefan52081 09-09-2006, 04:16 PM which one should i start between the two? golfmanccl 09-09-2006, 05:03 PM play gore, he is going to get more carries and is a real starter elway4ever 09-09-2006, 06:53 PM I would go with bell.... hey the reality is that I (feshman in high school, 5'4) could go in and rush for 100 yards in a season! They have such a great line and Shanahan is such a genius that bell will be just fine... I do agree with golf though... i dno't think mike will be the starter all year.. eaglefan52081 09-09-2006, 06:56 PM i read some fantasy advice for week 1 and all of them like bell this week against the rams bad rush defense. i think bell is the right choice this week but i also think gore will be great this year. thanks for the opinions. sweetdizzel17 09-10-2006, 04:48 AM go with gore...bell will get some stats but he is already splitting carries three ways in the denver backfield....i think shenanihan has got to be a little too arrogant by dumping dayne and letting go of anderson earlier and relying on underexperienced, unproven rookies...at least in the past he went w/high potential guys elway4ever 09-10-2006, 11:47 AM go with gore...bell will get some stats but he is already splitting carries three ways in the denver backfield....i think shenanihan has got to be a little too arrogant by dumping dayne and letting go of anderson earlier and relying on underexperienced, unproven rookies...at least in the past he went w/high potential guys Look at what [QUOTE] shenanihan [QUOTE] has done with Davis, T. Bell, Anderson, even Gary! I wouldn't doubt Shanahan's wisdom! sweetdizzel17 09-10-2006, 12:09 PM Look at what [QUOTE] shenanihan [QUOTE] has done with Davis, T. Bell, Anderson, even Gary! I wouldn't doubt Shanahan's wisdom! alll those guys were higher touted than mike bell and cobbs before they came to Denver....even then the only guy that proved himself good over time was davis and shanahan wore him out pretty quick with his system eaglefan52081 09-10-2006, 07:30 PM wow.... i am an idiot.... i cant believe i didnt start gore....or stallworth. and to top it off my qb green went down. bad week.... at least its only week one. sweetdizzel17 09-10-2006, 08:42 PM wow.... i am an idiot.... i cant believe i didnt start gore....or stallworth. and to top it off my qb green went down. bad week.... at least its only week one. lesson learned...NEVER TRUST A BRONCO....EVER!!!!!!! LOL    (just playin' with ya brett) atrain2004 09-11-2006, 12:34 PM Easy with the Broncos comment!! LOL How about them dolphins lol sweetdizzel17 09-12-2006, 12:44 AM Easy with the Broncos comment!! LOL How about them dolphins lol ya elway4ever (brett) is my best friend and i love to bash the broncos as much as possible but i do believe shanahan is going a little too far w/trying to prove his system eaglefan52081 09-12-2006, 05:59 PM dizzel- you are picking my team from now on. lol elway4ever 09-12-2006, 11:53 PM aaron - not a bad first game for an undrafted RC! ay?.. sweetdizzel17 09-13-2006, 12:12 AM aaron - not a bad first game for an undrafted RC! ay?.. not bad game for gore either...in fact a MUCH better game sweetdizzel17 09-13-2006, 12:13 AM dizzel- you are picking my team from now on. lol hey i sat gore for caddy i think in one league and that didn't turn out too well :icon_roll just gotta take a couple chances and get lucky :new_silly sivjosh 09-13-2006, 05:52 PM If you are going to have this choice all season, I don't think the Gore vs. M. Bell debate was decided in Week 1. Sure, Gore is a real #1 for his team and got two scores, but how many times are the 49ers going to get into a "shootout" and score 27 points? Mike and Tatum Bell combined to average over 6 yards a carry. So, the question then is: Should we run the ball or let Jake Plummer throw it? And the other half the time, all the analysis doesn't mean anything and the game just plays itself out another way entirely, and you just have to have made the lucky pick. That's why fantasy football is so agonizing. john1170 09-14-2006, 10:12 PM I would stay away from starting any Denver RB if you have the luxory of having other RB's. Denver might average a nice # per carry but if the 2 Bells split time it is going to hurt you. If Gore stays healthy, he could have a monster year. Cbprowler 09-15-2006, 09:50 AM If you have to start one, Gore is the man to start because Bell may only be taking Punt/Kickoffs for a while until his finger is back to normal. Plus, Denver loves to split touches... which is bad. Of course SF is NOT going to get into shootouts, but expect Gore to get lots of touches, ground and air, regardless of their scoring success. |
