After looking over there team. They have to be one of the youngest but look at all the talent they actually have. Victor Martinez and Haffner will be solid players in the future. Brandon Phillips will become a top 2nd baseman. They have young pitchers in CC and Baez. Am i just hoping to much, or is this a decent looking team in a year or 2!!!!!! etoppsguy111 :hop:

moonshadow being from cleveland and a diehard indians fan ihope your right. Still cannot figure out the trade of Bartolo Colon this is the first guy i would want on my rebuilding club yet they trade him for prospects although got some very good ones i can buy letting Thome go and Alomar but it took over 20 years for the farm teams of the indians to come up with a guy like this and to get rid of him dont understand why Dolen even bought the club.

Hopefully, in a few years, they can make it back to the World Series like they did in the mid-90's.

Cleveland made some odd moves over the past few years... and sure they're going through a reorganization, but do you honestly think they can make the series with who they've got now? I don't think so... it's going to take at least another year or two of trades and prospects before they get their act together.
just my 3 cents...

I agree in about 3 years the indians are going all the way. Thats my prediction

They will be a strong solid team for years to come. They took it to the Yankees, 22-0! That's gotta count for something.

They just need pitching.
For the majority of the season (many people didn't know) the Cleveland Indians had the BEST OFFENSE in the MLB(most runs scored).
They're still up there, they have a great offensive team. They're just like Texas in that their problem is pitchers.

I totally agree. Their middle infield is going to be amazing with Phillips at second base and Jhonny Peralta at short. Yesterday, Peralta was named the International League's Player of the Year. His stats this year were amazing:
.333 average, 15 homeruns, 88 RBI, 44 doubles, 178 hits, and 108 runs in 133 games.
Phillips and Peralta are both just 22 and should make an exciting combo next year and many years to come.

the Indians made their run, getting as close as 1 game behind the Twins, and a 2-0 lead over the Twins....
but then Corey Koskie hit the game-winning homer in extra innings to win it for the Twins, and the Indians haven't really recovered....but, they showed they've got talent!
