Ok well my wife and I got back from our wedding/honeymoon last night and this morning we needed to do some grocery shopping among other errands after being away for a little over a week. I was dying for some cards b/c I had no internet access and certainly no cards for that whole time. I ordered a box from Dave and Adams before heading out but once we got to Target the urge was too strong. Anyway here is what I got....

plenty and some SPs (I only know this b/c I pulled two Champ Baileys that are different numbers and have different pictures and two Larry Johnsons that are the same number but have different pictures)
RCs:
only one regular gray border: #192 Reggie Bush (not too bad for the only RC)

It is #'d 38/50 ...there is a small amount of white on the red border, above his head, slightly to the right, its not too bad and I may send it back unless the trader wants to do it themselves and makes an offer I can't refuse. I was pretty hyped since this was a retail blaster and all!!!!!

That Elway is a great pull from any box, but escpecially a retail. Congrats!!!
I too am disappointed in the borders of this year's Turkey Red wrt the chipping. I bought a hobby box and my toploader was a lil-bit chipped on the bottem and top. I don't remember last years edition being so easily chipped.
I may end up sending mine back too.

Wedding and honeymoon were in Jamiaca. Got back here (Chicagoland) and had to dig my truck out of 8inches of snow and ice and a high of 13 degrees today, lol.

Yeah, must feel great to leave a place with such crappy weather and come back here to Chicago right? haha.

zephyrmaster- Yeah I was kind of mad I missed the snow when I was down there, however after spending almost an hour digging my truck out I had to look at the Jamaica photos again, lol. Never had a day cooler than 85 and 65 at night the whole 8 days down there.

Thanks for the congrats, I haven't pulled anything like that from retail either, my friend pulled the Jennie Finch auto from Allen and Ginter after I blew $20 on crappy packs a few months ago, lol.

But, Topps has really made Turkey Red kinda sad... Last year, I believe every auto I was directly on the card... It's just too bad that Elway isn't directly on the card!

I personally think it may be an ongoing issue with Turkeys Elway autos getting damaged. The 1/1 was destroyed horribly in packaging.

thats odd if the autos arent on the card for football this year because they are for baseball.

Yeah I have seen some damaged ones as well. I also don't remember the last years football ones as on-card autos. My friend pulled 2 from baseball and they were stickers as well. I contacted Topps and they said it can be replaced, it may take 6 weeks they said but they will replace it. It is for trade b/c I'd rather have a Peyton Manning auto or some nice high end Edgerrin James stuff. I already owned an Elway auto and can afford to let this one go, lol.

Freaking Awesome on both accounts. Both Pulls were rewarding, the New Wife and the Elway auto. I am sure you will get your chance at the snow sooner than you want.

I would be hard pressed to get rid of a HOF QB unless it was one of my extreme wants.
