I like what the bears did and I like if palmer can do good those receivers like warrick can finially get the ball and open it up for dillion to rush for even more yards.

Victory Sports 04-26-2003, 09:25 PM i also9 think the lions did. rogers, bailey, and redding. IggyWH 04-26-2003, 10:29 PM I can't believe I'm saying this, but for now it looks like I might have to quit calling the Bengals the Bungles. Qball76 04-26-2003, 10:35 PM I'm going to have to go with the Lions, might be hearing Harrington to Rogers real soon... podstock 04-26-2003, 10:45 PM it's much too early to say the Bengals made the right choice. They need good offensive line, and IggyWH 04-26-2003, 10:55 PM Although Johnson was a good pick, Texans need a cuple studs on the O line badly... I love that commercial ESPN ran before the draft as a draft promo with the Texans in it! whatnobeer420 04-27-2003, 12:06 AM COWBOYS,WERE GOING TO WIN BY DEFENSE,AND A NEW CENTER WILL HELP THE PASS GAME (A LITTLE) UNTIL ONE OF ARE QB'S STEP UP. stkmtimo 04-27-2003, 12:11 AM Hells no! Giants have had the best draft. Don't laugh either. These "projects" (Osi and Visante) are diamonds in the rough. Tim mookigremlin 04-27-2003, 12:16 AM I believe that Kansas did a good one picking up Larry Johnson. I am looking forward for some good to come out of him. I would have liked to see him go to the Patriots though. hehe. But even though he is not with them I am still looking to pick up his cards. So if anyone has any of his cards then I am looking to trade for them. :) Richie mookigremlin :p P.S. I will also be looking for some cards of Bethel Johnson drafted by the Pats. :) IggyWH 04-27-2003, 12:26 AM Originally posted by mookigremlin I believe that Kansas did a good one picking up Larry Johnson. I am looking forward for some good to come out of him. Waste of a pick IMO. First, need I remind everyone of all the BUST RB's that come out of Penn State? Larry Johnson didn't show up in any of PSU's 3 toughest games. Also, who does KC have as their RB? I think his name is something like Priest Holmes or something? He's only the best RB in the league and still VERY young at 29. The LEAST of KC's worries was the running game and they go and draft Larry... I'd be pissed if I was a KC fan! stkmtimo 04-27-2003, 12:31 AM Originally posted by IggyWH Waste of a pick IMO. First, need I remind everyone of all the BUST RB's that come out of Penn State? Either way, the Big Ten is a tough conference, and Larry Johnson is easily one of the best running backs in the nation (not to mention a Heisman candidate). The stats speak for themselves. Tim Just because the Big 10 is a power conference doesn't exactly make them a tough conference. This past year IMO was not a good one for the Big 10. Sure they won the National Championship and had 3 teams in the top10 for a good part of the year, but PSU wasn't that good this past year, Michigan was good but nothing great, same with Iowa, and Ohio State was a good team that could win games. Other than those 4, the Big 10 was BAD last year. Here are Larry's stats per game from last year : DATE & OPP RESULT ATT YDS 8/31 C Florida Win 27-24 18 92 9/14 Nebraska Win 40-7 19 123 9/21 La Tech Win 49-17 17 147 9/28 Iowa Loss 42-35 (OT) 18 68 10/5 @Wisconsin Win 34-31 14 111 10/12 @Michigan Loss 27-24 (OT) 17 78 10/19 N'western Win 49-0 23 257 10/26 @Ohio St Loss 13-7 16 66 11/2 Illinois Win 18-7 31 279 11/9 Virginia Win 35-14 31 188 11/16 @Indiana Win 58-25 28 327 11/23 Mich St Win 61-7 19 279 So he had a TOTAL of 212 yards in the 3 games against Ohio State, Michigan, and Iowa. He only had good games against CRAPPY teams. Just because you are one of the best RB's in the nation doesn't mean you're good. Hell, a guy who blew his knee out 5 months ago got drafted ahead of him! This also still doesn't cover the point of why the hell did KC draft Larry Johnson when they have Priest Holmes? mookigremlin 04-27-2003, 01:45 AM Now with why KC picked him up while they have Holmes I can't understand that. KC did not need him but I am sure they will find some good use of him. I am also not saying that Larry Johnson was or is the best RB out of the draft but I would say he is up there. Either way anyone looks at it, I am still gonna collect his cards. So if you got em then I want em. :) Richie mookigremlin :p wdwain 04-27-2003, 02:25 AM When i get some of Larry Johnson's cards i will let you know Richie podstock 04-27-2003, 04:29 AM well, I was hoping Niners would spend all their picks on defense, bc/ that is the only way to compete against the Rams. But they picked an OT from Stanford in the 1st round, sheesh!!! And the Raiders spent one of their picks on a WR --- gimme a break! Raiders need all the defensive players they can get, after what they showed in last Year's Super Bowl IggyWH 04-27-2003, 01:57 PM Originally posted by podstock well, I was hoping Niners would spend all their picks on defense, bc/ that is the only way to compete against the Rams. Raiders need all the defensive players they can get, after what they showed in last Year's Super Bowl Yeah but with Rice and Brown on their last legs and Porter although showing a ton of potential hasn't shown that he can be a #1 guy, they're thinking the future. Smart move I think... who wouldn't you want more to understudy a rookie than Timmy Brown and Jerry Rice? pwaldo 04-27-2003, 07:17 PM Originally posted by stkmtimo I don't agree. Tim I've got to come to Iggy's defense here. I thought that KC could have done better with the pick. Their defense was horrible last year and unless they think Holmes is going to get hurt I don't have a clue why they would pick Johnson. I'd be mad if I were a fan and again the team loses this year because of a bad defense. wdwain 04-28-2003, 03:30 AM I agree the chiefs needed to boost their Defence. Why they drafted a RB i don't know! To get this back on subject now that the draft is complete i think these three teams had a great draft: 1. Lions 2. Ravens 3. Bengals dtownlions33 04-28-2003, 08:44 PM lions hands down rogers holt bailey redding stkmtimo 04-28-2003, 09:14 PM Originally posted by wdwain I agree the chiefs needed to boost their Defence. They've drafted tons of RBs in the past few years (and most are flops). Tim podstock 04-29-2003, 03:34 AM Chiefs drafted a RB as insurance in case Priest Holmes doesn't return to his form from hip injury --- those can be devastating! |
