Heyas. I have a question about an item that I have. It is an uncut sheet with 3 cards of 1994 Collector's Edge The Boss Squad. All of the cards are clear and are numbered Boss 1, Boss 2, Boss 3.

The players are as follows:

Boss 1 Marshall Faulk left card
Boss 2 Jerome Bettis middle card
Boss 3 Erric Pegram right card

below all 3 of them in big letters it says, "Collector's Edge 1994 NFL Football". Also on the back of each it says, "Collect the Boss Squad Leaders and Win! See pack insert for deatails." Now since I don't have any packs then I don't know what this was for. ANY information about this would be great for I have no use for it. Thanks in advance and have a safe one. :)

Do you happen to have a scan? I might be interested, I want to see what they look like.

Also, why do you collect J.R. Redmond? Just wondering.

Heyas. I don't have a scan yet but I can get one done up real quick with no problem. After I have it scaned I will post it on my site persay and give you the address to it. I will scan the front and the back.

Now with Redmond. hehe. I have told this story so many times now. Here is the story of why I collect his cards:

Back in 1998 I was getting into collecting football cards. I did not have a player or team to collect so I descided to go with the Patriots since I liked them. Now since I started collecting the Patriots the sure enough thing to do was to look at the best rookie that they had coming out that year and it was Robert Edwards. He was having a great season that year so I started to get more of his cards. Then off season came and he had his knee busted. Towards that time I was having some personal problems so I had stoped collecting. Welp back in later part of 2001 I started to collect again. I was checking to see how Edwards was doing since there was a chance he could come back. After the news of him coming back and then going to the Phins I descided I needed to collect someone else. It was a toss up between Kevin Faulk and J.R. Redmond. I was actually collecting Faulk more until one day I had picked up a small lot of Redmond that turned me towards him. After that I just collected his cards. I know he has very little play time at the moment but I am sure that if the Patriots gave him the chance then he could turn out to be a great player. A sleeper if you must say. hehe.

There ya have it. hehe. Just give me a few on the pics and I will have them for you. Until then take care and always have a safe one. :)

Thanks, whenever you get time, interested in seeing them. That's very cool about Redmond. Back in 1999, I started collecting Michael Cloud (RB for the Chiefs, doesn't get much time, either) because he had the least carries and it would be easier to collect and I always liked the Chiefs as my 2nd favorite team.

Thanks!

Heyas and I finally got them scaned and uploaded to my site. Here are the links to see the pictures:

Sorry for the quality but those are the best scans I was able to get. The white background in the scans is a piece of paper to try to show them as a clear card. The black just did not show the card that well. I hope the pictures are good for ya.

And back at ya with Michael Cloud. As you know it is easier to collect a player that is not yet in the light. hehe. So pick em up before they get hot.

Welp that does it so take care. :)

Thanks maddmaxx for that info. I had it for a little while now and I really did not have anything to do with it except put it away with many other cards that I don't know what to do with. hehe. Thanks again and you have a safe one. :)

Thanks for that nifty idea. hehe. I personally believe that Collector's Edge does not get the respect that they deserve. They were the either the first or the part of the first for many things. One of the things they were one of the firsts to do and I will say this over and over is to have game used cards. Back in 1996 Collector's Edge had their game ball cards while Upper Deck had their game used jersey cards. Now one thing that makes me laugh is a 1996 Upper Deck jersey card of Marino books for $400 while a 1996 Collector's Edge Advantage ball card of Marino books for only $80. hehe. I know that the odds of the jersey were harder but come on. But anyways. hehe

Now as far as trading the uncut sheet Tim has first shot at it. But I will make sure that I keep you in mind. Take care and thank you for that suggestion. :)
