i hear soo many people saying "Glavine will save the Mets" but i really dont think it will happen, i mean i really wish he will, but im sorry. One player cant lead a whole team in baseball.

The Mets have a lot more serious problems than overpaying for another pitcher.

He might not save the mets himself but he will definatly help the mets be saved along with Alomar, Vaughn, Piazza, Leiter, Franco, Stanton, Floyd and Howe.

Control pitchers like Glavine, Maddux, and Schilliing are being hurt by that Quest Tec machine.

They're no longer getting the calls on balls that are just 1" off the edge of the plate....now, it's called a ball; previous years, they were given strikes

I dont think so. Mets have way to many problems. I think they have the 2nd highest pay roll (correct me if im wrong) and they cant compete. Vaughn is injured and considering retiring. Piazza in injured. Alomar seems to be washed up or cant hit in the NL for some reason. Their defense is horrible. The list of problems just go on and on. The team is basically full of old players that used to be good. They need to start all over, maybe with young players.

The Mets can save some face this season by ditching the dead weight and giving some of their minor leaguers some action in the majors this season. They have one of the best farm systems out there... and so much potential for greatness within there. Wiggy & Reyes are perfect examples of quality within the minors... Esix Snead could come up and do some DH work... he did it last year at the end... and was pretty decent considering the rest of the team. Give the youth a chance to get used to the big leagues... and in a year or two we've got a solid team back with lesser old talent, and more young go getters.

Glavine won't save the Mets, they have too many holes. It's like saying A-Rod will save the Rangers.
