Wells is just being what every other Yankee superstar has done in his career... it's nothing new even though Cashmen is acting like it's the first time a Yankee has ever touched alcohol.

Wells seems like a real down to earth dude. Just a little dense, but hey, wouldnt it be fun to go out partying with the Big guy...

Not really, because in the long run, he's still a Yankee :p

I had him on my fantasy team one year and he missed a couple of starts because he had the gout. Never even knew what that was until then. Dude's a fat slob.

It's got to be embarrassing when a drunk guy pitches a perfect game against you. Hell I could probably get the bat around on a drunk guy!

He was only hungover... I've done a lot of amasing things hungover. Now it would be a real accomplishment if he said he pitched a perfect game half-baked!

Wells has a no trade clause and he's already said he won't waive it...If they CUT him he'll land in Boston, The Boss won't let that happen.
He said he had a skull-crushing (I think) hangover from having attended the Saturday Night Live Cast Party the night before. The cast party to which he's referring actually happened about a week prior....Great story with the exception of having not happened...Stay tuned for Lunkhead to further modify this one too.

I think his problem is he's a Yankee and it's gone to his head.

Wells was never the same guy after he had his perfect game. Then his career went perfectly to crap! I'd expect a typical season out of him, decent, but nothing great. The Boss isn't ready to get rid of his buddy Dave anytime soon. And dispite his drunkenness... he's not the worst partier they've had on the Yanks by any means.

lol, just because you have gout doesn't mean you're a fat slob... it's much like kidney stones, it just happens

If I were Wells and I was cut, I'd say screw the Yankees and just stay in NY. I mean he's going to get paid if he doesn't sign with another team, so why not be a lush and get paid for doing nothing. Sounds like my kind of job!

no matter what yall say he stills gets the job done. They should just leave him alone and quit trying to contain him, he will be alright, that's what the WS tried to do, tried to make him be right and he's the type that the more you try to more he won't.

guess we'll just have to see what happens. I still expect him to be in the starting rotation... sucks to be a Yankee fan this year!

It will when they don't win another World Series this year and George blames it on Jeter again.
