Absolutely!!! I know it's been said before, but... If Ty Cobb can kill a man, what's a little betting? Pete Rose played harder than just about anybody EVER in the game. The whole gambling thing is a bunch of crap. Enter the Hall Pete, you have my vote.

If guys like Gary Carter and Kirby Puckett belong in the Hall, Rose not only deserves to be in the Hall, he deserves his own wing.

Well said, everyone makes mistakes and Rose's are smaller mistakes than others have made in the Hall so he deserves it!

ESPN Radio is reporting that the current holdup IRT Pete is that he wants to be able to manage when the ban is lifted....

Pete Rose certainly deserves to be in the HOF. Coaching, hmmm I think he lost that privilege by betting on the teams he coached. That's a fair penalty for what happened.

That comment about Carter & Puckett though... what do you mean if guys like them deserve to get in, Rose deserves his own wing? I don't think so! Puckett was the lead man for the Twins, and got his WS victory. Carter was one of the best Catchers of all time. While Puckett is apparantly cheats on his wife and had a public fight with some woman he hooked up with... Carter is a family man, and a true role model. Pete Rose was a gambler... likely addicted to it. Some of the all time greats were womanizers, alcoholics, wife beaters, etc. The HOF should only take into account what you've done while you played the game. For that reason, Pete Rose deserves his place in the HOF... but by no means his own wing.

i think they should let pete rose back into basebal. I heard somewhere that he cared more about managing then being in the Hall of Fame.

If anyone deserves it, he does. Look at all the athletes who get hooked on drugs, solicit prostitutes, etc... look at how they are revered... same with celebrities... Pete Rose worked hard, had a great gift, and he's being penalized for activities that had nothing to do with his playing ability.

the hall is missing sumthing without the alltime hits leader...get him in there

i agree io think he should be in hof but i dont know about coaching... they give baseball players who do drugs more chances i think he should get one...

The Hall needs Pete and Pete needs the Hall. Maybe he can get in there one day, its where he belongs. As for coaching he lost those privilages a long time ago!!!

Pete Rose should be in the hall. I definately think gambling is much less extreme then killing someone. If Rose doesn't make it then why is Cobb in? I guess there weren't as many rules back then and they were less inforced then today.
