gioperation 03-06-2003, 12:24 PM my guy Tony Stewart!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that's what Al unser said on "the best damn sport show, period" the other day he said he loves this guy and he is the best racer on the circuit, because he will take more chances than anyone. I ditto that.
Ryan
meuandthelot 03-06-2003, 01:59 PM Joe Gibbs finally tamed snot-nosed T.Stewart !! But I do applaud Tony for taking anger management classes(we still have open wheeler Robbie Gordan to act like a 10yr. old) his baby temper tantrums have to GO(he's a bad a$$).
ToughTeams:
Jr./Waltrip-Chevy
J.Gordan/J.Johnson-Chevy
T.Stewart/B.Labonte-Chevy
Youngn's

IggyWH 03-06-2003, 03:13 PM NASCAR isn't a sport, lol... I kid I kid. I never got into racing at all, but I'll watch the Daytona and Indy 500's when they're on. I'm more of a drag racing guy though.
nyyanks 03-08-2003, 11:54 AM Left turns aren't all that exciting IMO.
:hop: :hop: :hop: :hop: :hop: :hop: :hop: :hop: :hop:
cardcollector869 03-08-2003, 10:32 PM I only watch Nascar if there is absolutly nothing else on TV.
Heartattaq 03-20-2003, 04:25 PM the left hand turns may be boring but the diving into a turn 3 wide doing 170 mph with 2 inches between each car is not.
gioperation 03-20-2003, 06:19 PM they say when you go to a live race you will be hooked and these nascar junkies tailgate better than anyone(so they say)
GIO
jdfan123 03-21-2003, 08:19 AM i like dei racing this year junior or walltrip should win the points race
stkmtimo 03-21-2003, 08:06 PM Is NASCAR all that fun? I can't stand it. Perhaps because I am from the North?
Tim
dkspex23 03-22-2003, 10:50 PM Same here Tim. I dont find much fun in watching cars go in circles all day. How do you people love it so much??
Dave

jonsportscardz 03-30-2003, 07:29 AM DID YOU GUYS FORGET ABOUT MY BOY BOBBY LABONTE?2000,CHAMPION....I DIDNT...
podstock 04-01-2003, 06:07 PM Tim - same here. Not sure what the big deal is with Nascar?!?
I know lots of folks say baseball is boring, but at least there's action and drama here and there during a ballgame.
In Nascar, who exciting is it to watch drivers go 500 miles around the racetrack?
gioperation 04-01-2003, 06:46 PM well I don't race home to watch it, but the other day it I was watching I think they were at bristol it must have been 20 crashes, now that was exciting, watching 5-6 cars pile up, ok so that is also the same reason why I would watch hockey for the fights, ( I am a sick person) It seems to me that as many cars that pile up they should have a death every week when they are driving 150+ MPH and bumping each other. Yeah I have considered doing that to a few cars on the highway becasue they are going so slow.
stkmtimo 04-04-2003, 11:04 PM Haha, GIO you are indeed sick (just kidding). Really, I think NASCAR is boring, seeing cars go 100 MPH around a track a few hundred times doesn't excite me.
Tim
podstock 04-07-2003, 01:10 AM Tim, not only that, but you can't even do anything with the sport as a kid.
With baseball, basketball, football, you can immediately start playing while a little kid, or coaching your son/daughter.
I for one am surprised by the explosion in fan attendance over the past several years, so much so that NBC and Fox paid quite a bundle to televise several races.
Not to mention how much oil is wasted.
gioperation 04-07-2003, 09:28 AM if you watched the race this week in week the phenon earnhardt jr won, they had a 20+ car crash and it you check out the camera view from inside the car it is unreal how when there is a crash and you have to keep driving though it, how cool it is like driving 100+ mph into a wall. watching him avoid the crashing cars was incredible. and then they the guys who has mastered the bump and run, where they bump the car in front of them and then go past them. and you got your hot head(racings version of artest, wallace and k martin) Tony stewart who I kick want to kick everyone butt.
stkmtimo 04-07-2003, 03:00 PM I think it's cool when the cars crash and blow up (not when people get hurt!). I also agree with you podstock, a kid can't just start driving. It's sort of a strange sport. Also, they do waste gasoline - depleting the world's oil reserves!! :)

tutall 05-22-2003, 08:57 PM heres what i want to know on nascar.... when is the last time you saw an intelligent person interviewed at a rce??? i know the drivers are smart but i have never seen an intelligent interview with a fan.... anyways.. what has hapened to the Indy 500??? they barely had enough cars to qualify... a couple years ago i could name you over half the drivers.. now all i know is sharpe (because i am from his hometown) and sarah fisher (shes a chick come on)
racegirl#90 02-15-2005, 04:04 PM I wasn't into racing at all. Used to think it was so boring when I saw it on T.V. When I was around 25, my stepdad took me to a race in Martinsville. From that day on, I was hooked!! I started going to our local track every saturday night and after a couple years, I was offered to drive a friends car in an enduro race. It was awesome, and I ended up buying his car. I raced LOTS of enduro races after that. For the last yrs. I have been racing in a weekly division at our local asphalt track, and doing dirt racing on our off weeks. Love to travel and race on all kinds of different tracks. It has been the most exciting time of my life!!
getnrowdy23 05-19-2005, 10:06 AM i am the same way. thought it ws boring till i went. now i go as much as possible
